We do have our own opinions on this matter. . .but mine is that the "old" Hillsong songs feel so authentic...everything about them is so deep that they could even reach and touch the deepest part of one's spirituality. . . Full of annointing... These seem can't be felt with the "modern" ones nowadays. I may be getting older but it's my take. I still go with the old style. God bless us all.

I really don't see like that, I mean there are a lot of ways to worship and in my point of view now they give more freedom to the Holy Spirit, sometimes He requires unique moments, like ministrations between the songs and I personally think we don't have to wear a suit or a long dress to show devotion. God doesn't have any rules to show himself, He is God, He can make himself present in a moment of silence.
