Ville Valo has composed, produced, engineered, recorded, written, sung and played all the musical instruments on the "Neon Noir" album.

Neon Noir is the debut solo album by VV, Ville Valo the leader of HIM.
Neon Noir emerges from the same universe of desolation, pain and extravagance that Ville Valo inhabited when he led HIM, although new nuances are perceived in VV, as is the case with the aged aromas of a good Cabernet.
“We were just hoping to temporarily redirect the blood flow of hard rock from the nether regions to the heart,” recalls Ville Valo, the singer, songwriter and frontman of HIM. Judging by the Heartagram's monolithic presence in any description of music this side of the millennium, it's evident that it was very successful. Valo was always inspired by great artists and writers, from Edgar Allan Poe to Charles Bukowski, tinged with a penchant for Black Sabbath-esque scented melancholy.
