Overall Meaning

The song Koa Hiatamadl by Hubert von Goisern und Die Alpinkatzen seems to be about the singer's preference for women with curves rather than those who are skinny. The first few lines express how the singer can tell if a girl is round and fresh just by looking at her. The chorus reiterates that he doesn't like a Hiatamadl, a typical mountain girl, who is too thin and without thick calves. Though he would rather have a girl from the city with curves. The second verse mentions two women that he knows, one with red hair and the other named Annamiarl. The first is more attractive than the second because she has gained weight. The final lines talk about the beauty of the country dances and the wreaths that the girls wear in their hair, but ultimately the most beautiful thing is what the singer finds attractive.

The folk dance is beautiful, as well as the wreath of the Alps. It's worth tipping your hat to both.

Don't speak Spanish but i tried to translate it with the help of GTranslate (probably sucks):
The song uses dialects but a standard German translation can be found here: http://www.songtexte.com/uebersetzung/hubert-von-goisern/koa-hiatamadl-deutsch-43d6ffc3.html
With this you could try to translate it with a better translator perhaps.

Oh hombre, oh hombre
cuando busco chicas
entonces sé exactamente
ella tiene que estar cerca
y un poco más grueso
oh hombre
Oh hombre, oh hombre

Estribillo: 2x

No me gusta ninguna chica de cabaña
no tiene terneros gruesos
Me gusta una chica de la ciudad
los grandes terneros tienen.

I have heard about Hubert while passing holidays in Austria. I entered a music shop (when it was in Jurassic time, Tyranosaurus hunted and You were buying music on CD's in shops). I asked to the tenant to show me something quite rock but typically austrian. He did not have to think for long and got me a double CD of Hubert with two albums. He told me I would not be dissapointed and I certainly wasn't. I am a fan........
