Amour (amour) trop grand (trop grand)
Amour trop loin
The song "Le Coeur En Exil" by Images reflects the pain of being separated from a loved one. The singer expresses his feelings of fragility and solitude while waiting for his beloved, who seems too far away. The chorus repeats the message of the song, a desperate SOS call to the one he loves. The singer's only way of reconnecting with his love is through music, as he states that when he sings, he always thinks of her. The lyrics show how music can act as a vessel for reminiscing about the past and imagining a future reunion, as the singer symbolizes his love through his guitar and his voice.
The verses "Il y a tant de silences de toi jusqu'à moi" ("There are so many silences between you and me") and "Ces mots que je te lance qui s'envolent vers toi, rien ne pourra les arrêter" ("These words I throw to you that fly towards you, nothing will stop them") reveal a sense of distance and struggle. The singer longs for his lover but cannot communicate in-person, so his only escape is through his music, where he can pour out his affection.
Overall, "Le Coeur En Exil" depicts a profound sense of longing that is universal to anyone who has experienced a long-distance relationship or separation from a loved one.
