I'm coming home to you
Every night every night every night every night

I'm the colorless sunrise
That's never good enough
I'm the wind that's in your head
It ruffles you up
You could find the reason
You could let me know
I won't blame you
I'll just turn and go

I'm coming home to you
Every night every night every night every night
Coming home to you
Every night every night every night every night

My mind is made up
My feelings changed and
I'm coming home to you
Every night every night every night every night

Searching to find myself
And all I find is you
I could hardly stand myself
So what am I to you?
You could find a reason
You could let me know
I won't blame you
I just didn't go

I'm coming home to you
Every night every night every night every night
Coming home to you
Every night every night every night every night

My mind is made up
My feelings changed and
I'm coming home to you
Every night every night every night every night

No matter, no matter
No matter what we're facing
It don't matter, it don't matter
'Cause the reason that I'm here
Is the same through all these years
Not changing, not changing anything at all

I'm coming home to you (I'm coming home)
Every night every night every night every night
Coming home to you (I'm coming home)
Every night every night every night every night

My mind is made up
My feelings changed and

I'm coming home to you (I'm coming home)
Every night every night every night every night

Overall Meaning

The song "Every Night" by Imagine Dragons communicates the idea of someone who is searching for themselves and finding comfort in returning home to their loved one every night. The singer compares themselves to a colorless sunrise and the wind in someone's head, representing their feeling of inadequacy and restlessness. They openly admit that they have flaws and could hardly stand themselves, but still finds solace in coming home to their partner every night. Though the singer seems unsure of their place in the world, they have made up their mind to return home to the person who continually accepts them.

The repetition of "every night" emphasizes the idea of consistency and returning to what is familiar, which is illustrated in the closing lyrics where the singer indicates that despite everything that they are facing, they would always come home. In the end, it is clear that the singer values the relationship they have with their loved one, and it serves as an escape from their internal struggles.

Overall, "Every Night" is a poignant reflection on one's personal journey and the comfort found within a supportive and loving relationship.

[Verse 1]
First things first
I'ma say all the words inside my head
I'm fired up and tired of the way that things have been, oh-ooh
The way that things have been, oh-ooh
Second thing second
Don't you tell me what you think that I can be
I'm the one at the sail, I'm the master of my sea, oh-ooh
The master of my sea, oh-ooh

[Pre-Chorus]
I was broken from a young age
Taking my sulking the masses
Write down my poems for the few
That looked at me took to me, shook to me, feeling me
Singing from heart ache from the pain
Take up my message from the veins
Speaking my lesson from the brain
Seeing the beauty through the...

[Chorus]
Pain!
You made me a, you made me a believer, believer
Pain!
You break me down, you build me up, believer, believer
Pain!
I let the bullets fly, oh let them rain
My life, my love, my drive, it came from...
Pain!
You made me a, you made me a believer, believer

[Verse 2]
Third things third
Send a prayer to the ones up above
All the hate that you've heard has turned your spirit to a dove, oh-ooh
Your spirit up above, oh-ooh

[Pre-Chorus 2]
I was choking in the crowd
Living my brain up in the cloud
Falling like ashes to the ground
Hoping my feelings, they would drown
But they never did, ever lived, ebbing and flowing
Inhibited, limited
Till it broke open and it rained down
It rained down, like...

[Chorus]
Pain!
You made me a, you made me a believer, believer
Pain!
You break me down, you built me up, believer, believer
Pain!
I let the bullets fly, oh let them rain
My life, my love, my drive, it came from...
Pain!
You made me a, you made me a believer, believer

[Bridge]
Last things last
By the grace of the fire and the flames
You're the face of the future, the blood in my veins, oh-ooh
The blood in my veins, oh-ooh
But they never did, ever lived, ebbing and flowing
Inhibited, limited
Till it broke up and it rained down
It rained down, like...

[Chorus]
Pain!
You made me a, you made me a believer, believer
Pain!
You break me down, you built me up, believer, believer
Pain!
I let the bullets fly, oh let them rain
My life, my love, my drive, they came from...
Pain!
You made me a, you made me a believer, believer

Before I was a huge Imagine Dragons fan I had only known them through "Radioactive" and "Demons". I told my parents I liked those songs and I got tickets to their concert in 2015. I remember sitting in the crowd listening to their opening to Shots, it was breathtaking. They're just so damn talented and humble. I remember Dan was up on stage talking about eating at a hole in the wall diner in Atlanta, he must have thanked us 20 times during the concert for listening to them. Thank you Dan, Daniel, Wayne, and Ben for all the music you've inspired me with. Your kindness and lyrics have made me a better person.

@appalachiangaming

I only knew them through Radioactive thanks to Defiance but then listened to the rest of their songs and they've become one of my favorite bands, if not my favorite. They're amazing talented and great at what they do.
