3 reasons why your Imaan/Faith gets you nowhere in life?
My Muslim friends often talk about Iman being one of the most important attributes for a Muslim to have, if not the most important, but there's a problem with this belief.

1. If someone told you to jump off a cliff into a body of water on blind faith you wouldn't do it unless you had good reasons (depth of water, height of cliff, ability to swim etc) so:
Faith is the excuse people give when they don't have a good reason, because if you had a good reason you would use that reason.

2. Have you ever had good faith about something and it turned out the way you expected?
But you've also had good faith about something and it turned out bad, right?
Faith can lead you to believe something is true but it could lead you to believe something is false so faith is an unreliable pathway to truth.

Do you believe there's life on other planets?
But you'll reject the idea that people see UFO's and get abducted by aliens, why?
Simply because extraordinary claims requires extraordinary evidence. We deny Alien encounters because the reasons given are bad. The methods are suspect and we don't have identifiable models to believe the stories. And we know people lie. We know about fake news.

And yet we're very quick to embrace supernatural stories from the 7th century, with even less evidence and worse reasons.

3.Faith can be embraced for literally anything - true or false it doesn't matter. You can believe in pink flying unicorns based on faith, who's going to stop you?
If all that is required to believe in a God is faith then our lives are meaningless.

It pains me, how every single time it feels as though my Imaan is getting stronger and stronger and firmer, I suddenly do that one sin and mistake that makes me fall back to where I started from. I'm so ashamed in myself, I feel like my Iman is very weak and I want to fix it. I really do, I just genuinely can't cry, I can't get anything out of me. I perform Salah late without a valid reason, I hang out with the wrong crowd and use foul language sometimes. I wasn't like that. I fixed my Iman but it all tumbled downhill. I was crying today when I prayed Salah, I felt so digsuted in myself and guilty. My mother looks at me as a polite and devout young girl too, and it sucks knowing I'm doing all of this. Going through something similar, a wea emaan annoys you even more when in the beginning you had a really strong one. This is true as a Revert. The problem is I have to chase people to teach me arabic. No one wants to help Us once we are muslim that's it. No one helps.

May Allah forgive us but maybe, just maybe, that is a test for you. We all need to take steps to get closer to Allah and He rewards us for our efforts. Maybe Allah wants to see your effort in becoming a good Muslim by chasing people to teach you Arabic. And even us, born to Muslim families, we enroll ourselves to a Madrasah to learn Arabic and we pay for it but the good thing is we know that we are being rewarded by Allah for doing so. We pay for something that will benefit us in this world and most importantly in the hereafter and we must realize that the money we spend to increase our Islamic knowledge also comes from Allah. There is a hadith in which our beloved prophet Muhammad s.a.w. said that praying to a distant mosque is more rewarding than praying to a near mosque because we are rewarded for our every step to the mosque. So obviously you will take more steps in going to a distant mosque than the near one. Similarly, the more effort you put in to seek islamic knowledge, the more reward you get from Allah

No one holds your hand and walks you to school you have to do that yourself. No one is going to hold your hand and walk you to the masjid you have to do that yourself unless of course you become friends with someone at the masjid then who knows.. 🤷🏽 don't let the bad times become a regular occurrence do as much good as you can everyday...

I'm not really depressed or anything,just sad and i kept just kept thinking about things like "why am i not happy with allah?" "Why am i so scared to admit sins?" "Why did i did this in the first place?" "Why do i feel like my iman is weak"?
I hope this video gives me the answer just like Allah SWT. Ameen.

I want to say something if you think your Islam is weak take the first step and ask for help and what everyone needs help in life. Now I know why my iman has become so weak school has been hard and I have missed alot of night prayers the last weeks and I stopped reading the quran I will try to red more and not miss the night prayer

Oh Allah please save me. I do not wake up for Fajr anymore... I want to say Fajr on time.. and please, please never let me become someone who does not pray five times a day... it is something I cannot imagine happening to me... please protect me and give me the strength to always pray my five prayers.... My iman always fluctuates sometimes its very high sometimes its low. why cant it be constant its difficult to stand up again and again and again. I always pray tahajjud in the middle of night pray my iman to be constant but still and still and still its not same
