2. Not only this Smooth Jazz band shares same band name, they have a song called "Millenium"(2006) that is exactly same title (intentionally misspelled) as the other Incognito's (Jazz Funk) song on their album "100° and Rising"(1995), plus the logo resembles in font. The title "Every Day"(2006) on the album Street Smarts exactly alike in titles (when read) with the other Incognito's famous tune "Everyday"(1995). They are often tagged totec radio. Also mis-tagged by fans as bluey where there's no link to Jean-Paul "Bluey" Maunick himself. r00ts & t4lk1n l0ud tags also used, that could mislead fans to the Bluey's famous tunes like "Roots" & "Talkin' Loud".

Capricorn Sun
Incognito Lyrics

'Cos you've heard a story
Don't blow me out
'Cos you don't really know me
You can't judge a book
Until you've taken time to read it
Get to know my life before you start to change my world
You've always got to have it
Living your life under your Capricorn sun
Get, get
Won't stop until you've got it
Living your life under the light of
Your Capricorn sun
It's not a race
And you just can't force it
Something so real
Has a story to it
Let's write the book
And take the time to read it
Lighting up a fire won't turn a night into a day
So single minded
You're almost blinded
The song Capricorn Sun by Incognito is a fascinating take on the idea of being unfairly judged and misunderstood. The lyrics convey a sense of frustration and anger at being dismissed or underestimated without proper consideration. The opening lines of the song - "Don't shoot me down 'cos you've heard a story" - sets the tone for the rest of the lyrics. The singer is essentially saying that people should not be quick to judge others based on hearsay or superficial impressions. Instead, they should take the time to get to know the person before making any assumptions about them.
The chorus of the song - "Get, get/You've always got to have it/Living your life under your Capricorn sun" - is an interesting take on the concept of horoscopes and astrology. The idea of a Capricorn sun is metaphorical here, representing someone who is ambitious, driven and focused on their goals. The song seems to be suggesting that some people are so consumed by their desire for success and recognition that they neglect the important things in life, such as building genuine relationships and connections with others. The singer is cautioning against this kind of single-mindedness and urging listeners to take a more balanced approach to life and relationships.
The final lines of the song - "So single minded/You're almost blinded" - are a poignant reminder of the dangers of being too focused on our own agendas. By shutting out other perspectives, opinions and experiences, we risk becoming narrow-minded and unable to see the world in all its richness and complexity. Overall, Capricorn Sun is a thought-provoking song that encourages listeners to be more open-minded, compassionate and empathetic towards others.
