2. Not only this Smooth Jazz band shares same band name, they have a song called "Millenium"(2006) that is exactly same title (intentionally misspelled) as the other Incognito's (Jazz Funk) song on their album "100° and Rising"(1995), plus the logo resembles in font. The title "Every Day"(2006) on the album Street Smarts exactly alike in titles (when read) with the other Incognito's famous tune "Everyday"(1995). They are often tagged totec radio. Also mis-tagged by fans as bluey where there's no link to Jean-Paul "Bluey" Maunick himself. r00ts & t4lk1n l0ud tags also used, that could mislead fans to the Bluey's famous tunes like "Roots" & "Talkin' Loud".

Incognito Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
It?s scandalous to see how much you?ve changed
Where is the friend? The one that I once used to know
You?re talking to me crazy
As though you never knew me
I guess it?s time to let you know
That I have got to let you go
No this is not
The lovin? that I use to know
This is not the feelin? that I couldn?t let go
No this is not
The lovin? that I use to know
This is not the feelin? that I couldn?t let go
N.O.T. (Repeat 4 times)
No ordinary thing
In my life
(Repeat)
Well bless my soul, what kind of a fool d?you take me for
I gave you everything that love can bring
You spun me round until my world came tumblin? down
I know this double dealin?
I something I can do without
I guess it?s time to let you know
Yes I think that you should go
The lyrics to Incognito's song "N.O.T" depict a narrator who is expressing their disappointment and frustration with someone they were close to. The opening lines convey a sense of shock and disbelief at how much this person has changed, lamenting the loss of the friendship they once shared. The singer feels hurt and disoriented by the other person's behavior, as if they are speaking to a stranger.
As the song progresses, the singer realizes that it is time to let go of this toxic relationship. They acknowledge that what they are experiencing is not the love and connection they used to know, and that the feelings they once had are no longer present. The repeated phrase "No this is not the lovin' that I used to know, this is not the feeling that I couldn't let go" reinforces the idea that things have changed irreparably.
The chorus, with its repeated acronym "N.O.T", emphasizes the singer's rejection of this new reality and their determination to move on. They refuse to accept this ordinary and destructive dynamic in their life any longer. The second verse continues to convey the singer's frustration and recognizes that they deserve better. They express a desire to be free from the deceit and manipulation, acknowledging that they deserve a healthier and more fulfilling relationship.
Overall, the lyrics of "N.O.T" explore the theme of recognizing and confronting the changes and disappointment in a relationship, and choosing to let go in order to find something better.
