Isabelle Boulay Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Is to love love love him
Just to see him smile
Makes my life worthwhile
To know know know him
Is to love love love him
And I do
I'll bring love to him
Everyone says there'll come a day
When I'll walk alongside of him
Yes just to know him
Is to love love love him
And I do
Why can't he see
How blind can he be
Someday he will see
That he was meant for me
The song "To Know Him Is to Love Him," as sung by Isabelle Boulay, is an ode to falling in love with someone and recognizing that they are everything to you. The repeated phrase "to know know know him is to love love love him" highlights the idea that the more you get to know someone, the more you fall in love with them. The simple act of seeing him smile is enough to make the singer's life worthwhile, emphasizing the depth of her feelings. She promises to be good to him and bring him love, adamant that he was meant for her.
However, the lyrics also express the frustration of unrequited love. The singer wonders why the object of her affection is unable to see how perfect they are for each other, questioning how blind he could be. Despite this, she remains optimistic that someday he will realize that they were meant for each other.
Overall, the lyrics of "To Know Him Is to Love Him" capture the thrill and joy of falling in love with someone, while also acknowledging the pain and uncertainty that can come with it. It is a beautifully crafted song that speaks to the heart of human emotions.
