After going their separate ways, and each converting to the Rastafari movement, they reunited in Kingston and formed a vocal group. Funding for their first album came in the form of a grant from the Twelve Tribes of Israel branch of Rastafari after Hugh Booth, a member of the Twelve Tribes, had overheard the three men singing in a wooded area outside Kingston. Apple and Wiss were living in the area, which they had converted into a home.
Israel Vibration recorded three albums; "The Same Song", "Unconquered People", and "Why You So Craven" before temporarily disbanding in 1981 after recording sessions for the latter were left incomplete. The three men moved to the United States to seek professional health care and escape the growing Dancehall movement in Jamaica. In 1988, Gary "Dr. Dread" Himmelfarb, founder of RAS Records, urged the trio to reunite and record an album. Skelly, Apple, and Wiss were flown to Washington, D.C. to record a new album at Lion and Fox Recording Studios. "Strength of my Life", the group's fourth album and first of 18 CD releases on the RAS label, was met with great praise and is considered one of the few post-golden era touchstones of the roots reggae genre.
In 1997, Apple Gabriel left the group to pursue a solo career. Skelly and Wiss continue to record albums and tour the world as Israel Vibration, backed by longtime associates Roots Radics.

A set out them business
The woman them, some with little children,
See how they spread out
And it's the start of another day
That's how they work to get their pay
And they're trying to do their best
Each and every day
They'll sell you that
Goods, cash, delivery on the spot
They juggle among
Thieves and killers
Who sometimes rob, or shoot a higgler
Police and soldiers in the area
Man a run up and down because of fear, sah
Who is gonna control the situation
It's getting out of hand
There must be some way to hold it down
Just the other day the man them satta
Pon the corner
Robber move through
And take them off guard sah
So they juck down a higgler
And rob him of him goods sah
They live pon the people them
Like when John Crow swarm dead meat
They cut off the lady finger
Just to take her ring sah
Wa kind a thing that you a deal with
Whoa yea
Can't go so way
The lyrics of Israel Vibration's song "Another Day" describe the daily struggles of street vendors, particularly women with their children, who set up their businesses on the sidewalk. The opening lines, "Look how the man them sit up pon the sidewalk / A set out them business / The woman them, some with little children, / See how they spread out," depict the scene of how these people work to make a living. The song reflects on the difficulties these people face such as dealing with thieves and killers who sometimes rob and shoot the street vendors. The police and soldiers are also present in the area to control the situation as it is getting out of hand.
The lyrics of the song explain the brutal reality of the street vendors' daily lives. Despite all these negative circumstances, they still try to offer their best services, sell their goods, and do their best to earn a living. The line "Each and every day, they'll sell you this, they'll sell you that, / Goods, cash, delivery on the spot," shows their determination and hard work. However, the dangerous and unstable surroundings create an atmosphere of uncertainty, and it is becoming more and more challenging to control the situation.
In summary, Israel Vibration uses powerful and insightful lyrics to narrate the challenges street vendors face daily. The song highlights the harsh reality of their lives and how they try to make a living despite the hurdles that come their way.
