Ive rose to greater prominence with their 2022 single "Love Dive", which charted at number one on the Circle Digital Chart, became the best-performing single of the year, and won Song of the Year at the Asia Artist Awards, Golden Disc Awards, MAMA Awards, and Melon Music Awards. The group's name, IVE, is a contraction for "I have". It alludes to the idea of showing what "I have" to the audience with confidence, where instead of telling the story of growth, the group tries to portray a "complete girl group" from the start.
