Enamoured with the open road Hoe has been tirelessly working North America for the past two years, enjoying showcase dates in Toronto (Canadian Music Week, North By Northeast), Cincinnati (Midpoint Music Fest) and most recently Vancouver (Western Canadian Music Awards). His unrequited loves; to find new fans and to try new food will keep him moving from city to city without any break for years. In the immediate future, he’ll be recording a live concert this February in his hometown of Winnipeg. He has also begun recording the next studio project with producer/artist David Lowery (Cracker, Camper Van Beethovan, Counting Crows, Sparklehorse), at the Sound of Music Studios in Richmond Virginia, with an anticipated release date in late winter.
His career in the entertainment business began as a child actor touring Canada with Les Miserables, and followed that up with more local theatrical productions and part-time endeavours. In his teens, Hoe relied on his family’s love of music from the 60’s and 70’s, to encourage harnessing his energy into songwriting. Armed with an old dusty Yamaha Eterna guitar and inspired by Neil Young’s Harvest, Bob Dylan’s Blood on the Tracks, and Joni Mitchell’s Clouds album, Hoe began his solo journey.
He took his music to Europe where he broadened his musical foundation and developed a greater appreciation for the power of a melody. He DJ’ed at a local French radio station, played for crowds of 300 strong, and the next day would find himself busking away and feeling right at home on the banks of Lake Zurich. When he realised he could communicate with his music, he set off back home (Winnipeg, Canada) and formed two bands: Sly Tawdry Affections, and Three Piece Suit. Neither incarnation lasted, but both offered Hoe lessons in helping him identify where his sound should go which brings us to today.
“There's something soothing and relaxing about J.P. Hoe's stage presence. It's like an old sweater that is just so damn comfortable you can't get rid of it. His blend of melodies and lyrics make for solid and intelligent pop music. Check him out and figure it out for yourself, it's definitely worth it.”
Save You

Yeah I swear there's better days yo
No you can't see straight, turn around now, stop
Face the other way
Late nights, when I see you
Take my, fantasy you're
Making me do bad things
Lean all your body on me
Lean all your body on me girl
Lean all your body on me
Lean all your body on me girl
Lean all your body on me
Lean all your body on me girl
Lean all your body on me
Lean all your body 'cause I will save you
I will save you
Yeah I will save you
Far far away but we central
No horse, carriage not essential
Draw your life how you want without a stencil
Take a trip with me know I'll make you feel special, 'cause
Now that you're joinin' my team
See how your life could be
Now that you know you're with me
Long live the king and the queen
Lean all your body on me
Lean all your body on me girl
Lean all your body on me
Lean all your body on me girl
Lean all your body on me
Lean all your body on me girl
Lean all your body on me
Lean all your body 'cause I will save you
I will save you
Yeah I will save you
I will save you (ay ay yeah)
Yeah I will save you
Lookin' at you had it in my sight
Always in my mind, takin' all my time
Even though it wasn't right girl nah
Leave this behind
Let's run away take two leave this behind
I'll give you bright lights over 9 to 5
See the high rise built up by the skylines
All the bright lights livin' up there mile high
Money don't buy high life, no I do, so
Lean all your body on me
Lean all your body on me girl
Lean all your body on me
Lean all your body on me girl
Lean all your body on me
Lean all your body on me girl
Lean all your body on me
Lean all your body 'cause I will save you
Lean all your body on me
Lean all your body on me girl (I will save you)
Lean all your body on me
Lean all your body on me girl (yeah I will save you)
Lean all your body on me
Lean all your body on me girl
Lean all your body on me
Lean all your body 'cause I will save you
The lyrics to J.P. Hoe's Save You seem to be about finding escape and salvation in another person. The song is a story of two people running away from their problems and finding comfort in each other. The chorus, "Lean all your body on me, 'cause I will save you," suggests a person wanting to take on the burdens of someone else, to be their savior. The opening lines of the song, "Let's get away, get away now, yeah I swear there's better days," seems to suggest the need to escape from the present situation and to find a new life elsewhere. The lyrics "now that you're joinin' my team" and "long live the king and the queen" in the second verse suggest that the singer is inviting the person to join him on a new journey, where he will be the leader.
The second half of the song seems to focus on material wealth and how the singer would be able to provide for the person, offering "bright lights over 9 to 5" and "high life" that "money can't buy." The final repetition of "lean all your body on me, 'cause I will save you" suggests that the singer is still trying to be the person's savior and rescue them from their problems.
In summary, Save You is a song about two people running away from their life to find escape and comfort in each other. The singer wants to take on the other person's problems and be their savior, inviting them to join him on a new journey.

So relevant on many levels.....at a personal and at a global level. The duality, the unbalancing, the struggle between two parts, two groups, chaos and destruction versus love and balance.
