With that observation I felt the need to provide
I felt a call to action to help the person in need after seeing their dire situation.

And his grateful tears of joy damn near made me cry
Seeing the joy and gratitude on the homeless man's face nearly brought me to tears.

Unfortunate circumstances but he's like you and I
Despite his misfortune and homelessness, the man I helped is still a human being just like everyone else.

Open to philanthropy so I can really give
I am eager and willing to give back to those in need through philanthropic efforts.
