After the passing of his Father in the summer of 2003, J. Robb was faced with the task of becoming man of the house. The determination and passion that he once possessed for music immediately grew from a pastime to an emotional outlet. After his senior year of high school J. Robb started work on his first mixtape which was released in 2004. Since 2004 J. Robb's archive of original tracks continued to build. After a 3 year hiatus, on April, 28th, 2007 J. Robb released a double CD, CD One contains 19 original songs & CD two; 22 photo's, 10 Mp3's, 7 Videos & A Poster appropriately named Long Awaited. He intends on continuing to promote this project while he prepares his album titled Watch & Learn. J. Robb does not feel that he has anything to loose going into the rap game head first, rolling with the punches and using hooks and punches of his own to survive.
"To be perfectly honest the way I see it is, there are a lot of Weak Links and in the end the Emcee's that are built for this will come out on top, those that do not take it seriously will simply fade away." - J. Robb
J. Robb has been called one of the hardest working artists to come out of the GTA. He has made the transition from a freestyle/battle Emcee to a seasoned recording artist. But if words on a paper don't impress you, just listen to the music.

And ten thousand lumen light
I'm thinking this is what they call divine
I put up flowers in your hair
If there is heaven it's right here
And we're two birds of paradise
Keep my parents out the house now
And have the weekend just for us now
Kick everyone out of the world now
And have a holiday just for us now
Lately you're all I've been needing
Got my head caught between your legs
Some little fun and now you're wet
I have a neighbor but she's keeping it secret
You teach me how to ride a bike
So we could ride our way to the divine
They let us in or else we're making one here
Keep my parents out the house now
And have the weekend just for us now
I think it's just what we're needing
Kick everyone out of the world now
And have a holiday just for us now
Lately you're all I've been needing
Swimming pools to dive deep in wasting time
We could have a slumber if you stay the night
Swimming pools to dive deep in wasting time
Swimming pools to dive deep in wasting time
Pretend that we are gods we can do what we like
Swimming pools to dive deep in wasting time
Keep my parents out the house now
And have the weekend just for us now
I think it's just what we're needing
Kick everyone out of the world now
And have a holiday just for us now
Lately you're all I've been needing
Ah, ah, ah
Can we do this again sometime?
Ah, ah
Ah, ah, ah
Can we do this again sometime?
Ah, ah
The lyrics of J. robb's song "X THOUSAND" depict a scene of two lovers enjoying each other's company away from the world. The first verse paints a vivid picture of a dry and illuminated sky where the singer believes they have found heaven with their lover. The flowers in the lover's hair symbolize the purity and beauty of their love. With their parents out of the house, they have the weekend just for themselves. This time away from everyone else is much needed and desired by the lovers, as they express in the second verse. The line "Kick everyone out of the world now" emphasizes that nothing else matters as long as they are together.
The rest of the lyrics describe a carefree and passionate relationship between the two. They engage in playful activities such as riding bikes and swimming, and they even pretend to be gods. The repetition of "Swimming pools to dive deep in wasting time" emphasizes that, in this world they have created for themselves, they can do whatever they want without any judgment. The song ends with the singer yearning for this experience to recur, hoping they can "do this again sometime."
Overall, the song highlights the desire to escape from the outside world and simply enjoy the company of a loved one. It expresses the sentiment that sometimes, all one needs is just one person by their side to make everything worthwhile.
