She carried on her studies of improvisation with Chris Rosenberg of the Ornette Coleman, and stylistic interpretation with Peter Eldridge of the New York Voices.
2 - Jacinta is a celebrated Jewish folk and tango singer from Argentina, nowadays living in France. Jacinta was born in Buenos Aires and studied the guitar. She moved to Paris in 1978 and sang Judaeo-Spanish romances in the show ‘Chant profond Juif’ at the Festival d’Avignon. She is an author and a composer, and as a comedienne she has played in Dibouk and Mortadela by Alfredo Arias. Jacinta's performances of this new single at Winter Music Conference in March, found DJ Ron of DanceMusic.About.com predicting that this uplifting song would be a summer Pride Anthem and one week after club airplay began, it was number one on the Billboard Breakouts chart (basically the 'bubbling under') of the Billboard Hot Dance/Club Play chart; peaking at seventh on the main chart.
Downhearted Blues
Jacinta Lyrics

When that someone don't love you
I'm so disgusted, heartbroken, too
I've got those down hearted blues
Once I was crazy 'bout a man
He mistreated me all the time
The next man I get has got
To promise to be mine, all mine
Trouble, trouble, I've had it all my days
It seems that trouble's going to follow me to my grave
I ain't never loved but three men in my life
I ain't never loved but three men in my life
My Father, my brother and the man that changed my life
It may be a week, it may be a month or two
It may be a week, it may be a month or two
But the day you quit me honey, it's coming home to you
I got the world in a jug, the stopper's in my hand
I got the world in a jug, the stopper's in my hand
I'm going to hold it until you didn't come under my command
The opening line of Jacinta's song "Downhearted Blues" is quite self-explanatory. The song is about the pain of loving someone who does not reciprocate love in return. The lyrics paint a picture of a woman who is heartbroken and disgusted by her lover's actions or lack thereof. The use of the phrase "downhearted blues" creates an image of gloominess, sadness, and a general feeling of being down in the dumps.
The second verse introduces a previous relationship where the woman was mistreated by her partner. It is evident that the woman has experienced hurt and disappointment in the hands of men which has impacted her views on love, relationships, and herself. She now wants a man who will love her unconditionally and promises to be hers always. The repetition of the word 'trouble' further reinforces the woman's emotional state, indicating her past and present experiences have been filled with problems and adversities.
The final verse is a warning or a threat to her current partner that if he decides to leave her, there will be consequences. The line "I got the world in a jug, the stopper's in my hand, I'm going to hold it until you didn't come under my command" signifies that the woman has control over the relationship, and the man leaving her would have dire consequences. The lyrics show a strong, dominant woman who has been through tough times and is not willing to take any more hurt from her current partner.
