You just CAN'T drag an image (file) to a minimized window.

You can't drag a image from the web browser direct to the desktop anymore because the peek area doesn't minimize all the windows when hovered.

without the ability to group/folder apps in the start menu - the menus would be a total mess for people like myself which uses a bunch of programs professionally. So unless Microsoft add a way to get a better way to arrange apps than a bunch of icons I'll stick to windows 10.

Looking forward to the new Media Player app that is rumored to be replacing the movies and tv app, hoping that fixes the library size bug they have not fixed in the 10+ months since I have reported it, and near constant crash reports I have submitted to Microsoft for longer than that.

shame windows didnt suport kive tiles with a built in editor and software that could mae old shortcuts into nice looking tiles. third partty worked but time was always spent and they clicking opened apps many seconds later over a simple shortcut. but like you i loved live tiles and gutted they never got finished properly by microsft.

@Smurdle450 It was an unorganized mess. Unless you cherrypick the apps you use of course. I mean live tiles are alright but try placing non live tiles among live tiles, it's chaos, Zoom icon is tiny, WhatsApp icon is HUGE, Telegram icon is microscopic, Kodi's icon is almost nonexistent, etc..

Great, you can finally re arrange virtual desktops like it has been on MacOS well before Windows 10 even came out. I think virtual desktops was the best feature in Windows 10. Finally they updated it in a meaningful way. I think this is the biggest feature for me. (and it is pretty small).

@munchy I used to use two monitors and now I find that using Virtual Desktops, it has allowed me to cut down to one. I configure the F1 and F2 keys to switch right and left desktops. It is a really efficient technique. Three finger gestures on your touchpad can swipe desktops too (once again, it has been like this on Macs forever but it is a nice feature to have since I really only use Windows machines).

yep i am a windows fan, ive loved them all, i just wish new tabs opened to my choice of home page, i wish x ment close and not close and minimise as there is already a line for minimise so feels more like conning the user abilitys. and i will miss live tiles but hey widgets are cool if done well, like say on apple devices recently. i do like that. android is good but inconsistant and microsft has just started lol.

I'm not sure if the Start menu icons are a step forward from the tiles. The apps which I use more, I could have them be bigger, the lesser used apps could be smaller, and I could also put them in folders and groups.

I still heavily use ungrouped taskbar buttons, just because it saves time, that's gone now. 4. Clock and tray in the taskbar on secondary monitors. 5. Quick add calendar events. 6. Start menu folders. 7. Android support, since that was such a big selling point. 8. Support for my hardware. ... There's definitely more than that too, but those are off the top of my head features I actually use all the time

I have a question. My laptop has Window 11 (21H2 22000.194) from Beta channel of Windows Insider Program. In order to get the stable update, I just opted out of the insider program (not with immediate unenroll option). But I am still not getting the stable update till now. Is there something I missed out for getting the stable version?

1. Can we disable the "Recommended" section in the start menu? Because I can see that being annoying as I'd rather just see my pinned icons.
2. Are we able to create folders/drawers in the Start Menu? And I don't mean file folders in the explorer, I mean folders/drawers like we can do in live tiles where we can group them into one tile and organize better.

@Diuran Win 10 can do either. My system shipped OEM with Win 10 and GPT system. You can convert your filesystem from MBR to GPT as I have done on my previous PC.

Nice, I don't understand how certain features from Win10 are now 'annoying' when they were fine prior (system tray layout)? Also, on Win10 all you needed to do was left click on the network icon and it pulled up a list of available networks (Wifi) and didn't send you to the Settings App (as stated in this video).

Windows is kinda just there on my PC, I don't do anything with it. I probably won't notice any difference between the 2. I turn it on go to steam or epic and that's all, everything I do is on my android tablet and phone. Never cared about it since 3.1 went away, but I started when dos was the only os.

I kind of broke my laptop trying to update amd gpu drivers in windows 11. I tried resetting, re-installing, updating bios, switching to windows 10... nothing seem to be helping. I need to enter bios, save settings and exit so that Windows boot normally.

Edit: I was on Windows 11 since June 16th until October 5th, but since the release version does not improve productivity things, today I will go back to Windows 10, sadly.
