Un mejor Dia Vendra by
Un mejor dia vendra
Un mejor dia vendra
Cuando dios a los pobres un lugar dara

Cuando madura la tarde
Yuelvo cansado a mi hogar
Y sonando en un futuro
Olvido dolor y pesar

Overall Meaning

The lyrics to James Taylor's song Un mejor dia vendra translate to "A better day will come, a better day will come, when God will give a place to the poor." This song tackles the issue of poverty and the hope for a better future for the impoverished. It speaks to the exhaustion and weariness that comes with struggling and enduring hardship. Taylor's lyrics describe the anticipation and longing for a brighter tomorrow, a time when there will be less pain and suffering.

The first verse takes us to a time when the tired narrator returns home at the end of a long day, dreaming of a future where he can forget his troubles. The second verse reveals the deep sense of loss that the singer feels, as he wonders where his youth and his life have gone. He feels as though they have been lost or wasted, blown away like words carried off by the wind. But even in the midst of this despair, the chorus brings a message of hope, reiterating that a better day will eventually come to those who have suffered.

Un mejor Dia Vendra is a poignant song that speaks to anyone who has experienced poverty or hardship. The promise of a better future is something that keeps many people going through tough times, and Taylor's lyrics capture this sentiment perfectly. The song is a testament to the resilience of the human spirit, and to the power of hope in the face of adversity.

Many years ago, I played bass in several community theater productions. I did Working in 1983, and it was and is by far my favorite. The music is so beautiful and amazing. This song in particular brought so much emotion that I was glad that I didn't have to play a single note during the song!
