You've Got a Friend
James Taylor Lyrics
When you're down and troubled
And you need a helping hand
And nothing, nothing is going right
Close your eyes and think of me
And soon I will be there
To brighten up even your darkest night
You just call out my name
And you know wherever I am
I'll come running, oh yeah baby, to see you again
All you've got to do is call
And I'll be there, ye, ye, ye
You've got a friend
If the sky above you
Should turn dark and full of clouds
And that old north wind should begin to blow
Keep you head together
And call my name out loud now
Soon you'll hear me knocking at you door
You just call out my name
And you know wherever I am
I'll come running, oh yes I will, to see you again
Winter, spring, summer or fall, ye
All you have to do is call
And I'll be there, ye, ye, yeah
Ain't it good to know that you've got a friend
When people can be so cold
They'll hurt you, and desert you
And take your soul if you let them, oh yeah, don't you let 'em now
You just call out my name
And you know wherever I am
I'll come running to see you again, oh baby, don't you know
Winter, spring, summer or fall
Hey now, all you have to do is call
And I'll be there, yes I will
You've got a friend
You've got a friend, yeah
Ain't it good to know you've got a friend
Ain't it good to know you've got a friend
Oh, ye yeah, you've got a friend

Now, ain't it good to know that you've got a friend
When people can be so cold?
They'll hurt you, yes, and desert you
And take your soul if you let them
Oh, but don't you let them
You just call out my name
And you know, wherever I am
I'll come runnin', runnin', yeah, yeah
To see you again
Winter, spring, summer or fall
All you have to do is call
And I'll be there, yes, I will
You've got a friend
You've got a friend
Ain't it good to know you've got a friend
Ain't it good to know, ain't it good to know
Ain't it good to know
You've got a friend
Oh, yeah, now, you've got a friend
Yeah baby, you've got a friend
Oh, yeah, you've got a friend
Call Me Panda
Just dropping this here to vent.
I lost my 2nd dad less than a year ago. My mom remarried after my dad passed away. My stepdad is wonderful and loved my mom so much, treated her like a queen. And then, he passed away too.
It was all of a sudden. He just complained of a tummy ache on Sunday morning. Took him to ER. He was then transferred to ICU on Monday evening. He passed away Wednesday evening. All those time from Sunday morning, we did not see him due to COVID restrictions. At first it was only tummy ache, then complications. It was all of a sudden, losing someone like that and not being able to be there next to them.
Tonight, my friend's dad got rushed to ICU due to pneumonia. He is in the 70s. After losing someone so quick, I'm paranoid when people get rushed to the hospital. You'll never know when it is the last conversation you will have.
Take your time. Cherish each moment. Be there for somebody.

LIGHT IN THEART
My dad was in the emergency room before he went to the ICU. I played this song on my phone and put one ear bud in his ear and the other in mine. He had a stroke and could no longer communicate and I held his hand and cried while the song played. My dad showed me this song and it will always be our song.

My dad and I suffered from my mother’s abuse: and when I was little my daddy would play this song and sit in my room with me till I fell asleep because I was so stressed from my moms bullshit. (Mind you I was 8/9)
I’m 27 years old now, and to this day; I can turn this song on and really think “I need my dad” and my phone will ring. 🖤💜✨ there’s something truly magic about this song.

@Teresa Bosworth Sometimes I feel like I don’t have a real friend. But even in those times, I know Jesus listens to me. It’s not just a crutch. I’ve experienced true miracles. The impossible IS possible.

I wonder what type of church he was in that had no comfort for that mother. An unclean spirit must leave in the name of JESUS! There ought not be profanity present! There will be NO cursing in the Kingdom of GOD! Expecting a mighty REVIVAL SOON! Because JESUS is RETURNING SOON! ALLELUIA! 🙏🙌🙌👏❤️
