As a lyricist, Jarren has been compared to various artists such as Ludacris, Eminem, and Red Man. At age 6, he discovered his love for hip hop. While other kids piss their beds, Jarren would stay up late, past midnight, to record βThe Fresh Party,β a local Atlanta Hip Hop radio show. Soon Jarren began to write his own rhymes and by the time he reached 10 years old, he was a premature beast on the mic. Jarrenβs arsenals of talent also includes production and live performance skills. For the past seven years, Jarren had been producing and writing his own music in addition to producing tracks for other local Atlanta artists. With a sick live show that puts other rappers to shame, Jarren refined and mastered this art having performed at various open mics and showcases, such as the Southeastern Music Conference and Atlantis Music Festival.
Growing up in a house hold with no father figure, Hip Hop was like a second parent to Jarren. Obsessed with breaking into the music industry, he dropped out of high school to pursue his musical career. Unfortunately, since then itβs been a downward spiral. With no education behind him it has been difficult to find a career that will allow him to support his family and satisfy his thirst for making music. Frustrated with his adversities and the current state of Hip Hop, its do or die for Jarren. With the ability to KILL any competition that comes, his way he is destined to make it. Jarren Benton is the future of hip hop, a legend in the making. Be on the look out for this new βking of the south.β Donβt sleep or you will regret it.
The God Intro
Jarren Benton Lyrics

Ride downtown in my city bumpin' Ghostface
Fuck the police, bitch
I feel like I'm O'Shea
Mental health problems nigga I know I'm not okay
Spillin' Pinot Grigio while I count up this bread
I like my bitches pussy bald and my presidents dead
I shit in the booth, these hoes gon' lick my dick in the coupe
I wear the mask with the butterfly knife don't let me fuck up your life
I put your heart in a bucket of ice
I might be in a five star with a couple of dykes
It's Lord Benton, ill nigga cuffin' the mic
Niggas get shot everyday
He be aight, B
Gold Jesus piece hid over the polo white fleece
Fly niggas stay laced in vintage Versace
Need a stronger aerosol to mask the scent of the body
It's the God nigga
Money over bitches
Power over cowards
Niggas plottin' so I bathe with the shotty in the shower
Homicide investigate a body every hour
Paranoid like smoke'll prolly buy an 8th of sour
The soundtrack to a killa's last breath
Up at Follies blowin' bread 'til ain't no fuckin' cash left, nigga
Never let no wet pussy fuck your dough up
Toast to the dead niggas, pour up
Blood money in the ziplock so it don't mold up
I feel like Mitch in the cherry red Beamer bumpin' Cold Crush
Second childhood, niggas grow up
The God in [?] bitches go nuts
I'm stuntin' like Money Mayweather
The cash is way better than being broke
Get topped in the back of the grey Tesla
Lord have mercy the wolves are hungry and thirsty
Screw the barrel on the mouth of the 30, arrivederci
It's the God, nigga
In "The God Intro," Jarren Benton presents an aggressive and sobering reflection of a gangster's life, one plagued by violence, paranoia, and the emotional toll that comes along with it. Benton infuses the lyrics with vivid imagery of his surroundings, colorful descriptions of guns and drugs, and a stern sense of self-importance. He establishes his dominance in the rap game right off the bat by proclaiming that he will remain East Side's king even after his death, requesting that his ashes be kept in a golden vase. He then emphasizes his contempt for the authorities, declaring his solidarity with Ice Cube's persona in the movie "Boyz N the Hood." Benton portrays himself as a man of many contradictions, acknowledging his struggles with mental health while also bragging about his wealth and hedonistic lifestyle.
Benton's attitude toward violence and death is one of casual acceptance, as if he has become desensitized to the brutal realities inherent in his world. Throughout the song, he drops references to guns, dead bodies, and drug deals gone wrong, consistently reminding the listener that he is a force to be reckoned with. However, there is also an unmistakable sense of vulnerability hiding beneath the tough exterior Benton projects. He acknowledges his paranoia about being caught by the police or targeted by his enemies, and acknowledges the emotional toll that his chosen lifestyle has taken on his psyche. The song closes with Benton painting a vivid picture of himself riding in a sleek and fast car, surrounded by beautiful women, and a "god" among mere mortals.
