Move
Jason Manns Lyrics

And I need you with me now
Only you can sooth me
With your voice the only sound
Baby, when you move...
When you move...
When you move...
I barely feel like stirring (?)
And you know just what to do
I wanna lay you down- down
And wanna say sweet things to you (?)
Baby, while we move...
While we move...
While we move...
Move, baby.
No, I'll never leave
With you's all I want to be
You really light my fire
Drop the coat right on the floor (?)
You really light my fire
When only you just shut the door (?)
Baby, let me move...
Let me move...
Let me move...
Move you, baby.
Let me move...
Let me move...
Let me move...
Move you, baby.
Move you, baby...
I wanna move you, baby.
Move...
Move you, babe.
Oooh...
Move you, baby...
The lyrics to Jason Manns’s song Move are quite straightforward, describing the desire for one’s romantic partner to be near and the physical and emotional joy that comes from being with them. The singer is in a position where they feel uneasy and need comfort, and the only one who can provide that comfort is their partner. Their voice is the only sound that can calm the singer down. The chorus of the song is straight to the point: when the partner moves, it moves the singer as well; they light a fire in them that doesn’t go out.
In the second verse, the singer expresses their attraction to their partner and the accompanying desire for intimacy. The lyrics suggest wanting to lay them down and whisper sweet things to them. The bridge of the song confirms the singer’s commitment to their partner, saying that being with them is all they want. The final chorus repeats the desire for the partner to move, and the singer wants to be the one to move them. Overall, the song reflects the joy and passion that can come from being with one’s romantic partner.
