Richmond currently produces and composes the music for 30 Rock, a sitcom created by and starring his wife Tina Fey.

Richmond attended and graduated from Kent State University in Ohio in the late 1980s, where he co-authored a number of musicals.

He worked at The Second City and Child's Play Touring Theatre before he began composing music for the series Saturday Night Live. Richmond left SNL in 2006 to produce and compose music for the situation comedy, 30 Rock.

I really hope this news source simply didn't realize that is what actually happened. The news people aren't officers so they should not necessarily understand police body camera placement. Three of them piled on me and punched me in the ribs with my hands pinned under me because I tried to calm down by bipolar girlfriend at the time (she yelled at one of the cops.) How are you supposed to give them your arm when you are laying on it and someone has a knee in your back.
They got called because we were having a verbal argument as she was leaving the building (Cedar Point)
No deescalation, they didn't even tell me I was going to be detained or arrested until after they threw me on the ground and handcuffed me.
I don't have disdain for all cops, but I do for those cops and anyone else with that lack of training. I was livid. They put me in their padded cell because I yelled at them the whole way to the station. They also broke my glasses. Long before body cams.

I don't care for excessive force. I don't like rushing to judgment and I damn sure don't agree with putting "everybody" of any race, gender, occupational position etc., all in the same category, as being good or bad/ right or wrong/ guilty or innocent without first having all the facts & sufficient evidence. That being said, I read several comments before adding mine. I observed some, being pretty harsh statements! Being open minded and assessing full content of any incident, can afford one an opportunity to more accurately reach a conclusion as to how, and or, why things played out the way they did, in any given case.
The reporter claimed: "This almost (9) minute video is hard to watch!"😯 My first question would be: "Why did they only play (2) minutes of it?" Also, deduct the time the reporter and news anchor communicated back & forth, making the (2) min "hard to watch video", actually less than (2) minutes.🤔 I'm not saying the cops didn't act inappropriately, but, I'm guessing after seeing the guy lunge at the cop, there's a pretty good chance that this guy may have given him a hard time leading up the way it ended.
I've seen video where people are so nasty & threatening to the cops, and the cops somehow manage to keep his/her composer not even so much as raising their voice at the person being detained or arrested. I've seen people screaming & threatening to kill cops and their whole family (not to mention some gruesome details of how they'd do it. You have to remember, cops are human the same the rest of us. Look at people in general and how many act crazy at the drop of a hat. Take into consideration, it's hard to tolerate kids acting badly. Now imagine being a cop and having to deal with grown adults acting worse. In every walk of life, there will always be, GOOD, BAD & UGLY PEOPLE! The key to making the world a better place, is starting with judging our own actions and know all the facts before judging another's! ✌😊
