In fact, it was the purchase of an omnichord in Jenny's father's thrift store 8 years ago that set her along this path, its carnivalesque, slightly Hebraic sounds leading two young gentile girls to pick the somewhat ironic "Barmitzvah Brothers" as the name for their band.
And while Jenny subsequently branched off into other instruments, among them bass and electric guitars, trumpet, banjo, and keyboards, it is the omnichord that has always remained her first love, a slightly geeky invention played by almost no one, capable of a myriad of sounds and effects, and for some reason scorned or unknown or ignored for almost all of its life. Well, now, it is time for the omnichord to take its rightful position among the upper echelons of musical instruments, and Jenny shall be the liberator who shall set it free, the vessel through whom this most intricate of the keys shall finally achieve the appreciation and respect that it so richly deserves.
Or not. Come what may, Jenny will still continue to love and play it, will try to learn even more of its many and hidden secrets, and will keep trying to bring its joyful wonders to the world, whether we are ready or not. So be prepared to smile, to be amazed and to be bewildered. The omnichord is coming, and we will all be the better for it.

Honestly though, the females in this choir have beautiful vocals!
Love is a delicate thing; it can just float away on the breeze
He said the same thing to me.
How can we ever know we found the right person in this world?
He means he looks at other girls.
Love is a mystery; it does not follow a rule.
This guy is a fool; he'll always be a boy. He's a man who never grew up.
Seriously awesome!

Loretta broke my heart in a letter
She told me she was leaving and her life would be better
Joan broke it off over the phone
After the tone she left me alone
Jen said she'd never ever see me again
When I saw her again, she said it again
Jan met another man
Liza got amnesia, just forgot who I am
Felicity said there was no electricity
Emily, no chemistry
Fran, ran, Bruce turned out to be a man
Flo had to go, I couldn't go with the flow
Carol Brown just took the bus out of town
But I'm hoping that you'll stick around
He doesn't cook or clean
He's not good boyfriend material
Ooh, we can eat cereal
You'll lose interest fast, , his relationships never last
Shut up girlfriends from the past
He says he'll do one thing and then he goes and does another thing
Ooh
Who organized all my ex-girlfriends into a choir
And got them to sing?
(Ah) ooh ooh ooh, mm shut up
(Ah) shut up girlfriends from the past
Mimi will no longer see me
Brittany, Brittany hit me
Paula, Persephone, Stella, and Stephanie
There must be fifty ways that lovers have left me
Carol Brown just took the bus out of town
Love is a delicate thing, it can just float away on the breeze
He said the same thing to me
How can we ever know if I'm the right person in this world
He means he looks at other girls
Love is a mystery, it does not follow a rule
This guy is a fool
He'll always be a boy, he's a man who never grew up
I thought I told you to shut up
(Ah) Mona, you told me you were in a coma
(Ah) Tiffany, you said that you had an epiphany
(Ah) Mm
Would you like a little cereal?
Who organized this choir of ex-girlfriends?
Was it you Carol Brown?
Was it you Carol Brown?
Carol Brown just took the bus out of town
But I'm hoping that you'll stick around
Stick around
Stick around
Stick around
Stick around

@meganparish5996
Super true, it's actually a great song!
@79podcast75
I might have cried a bit to this song. Not saying I did. I might.
@markyh88
I always thought this from the first time I saw the series back in the day. Sticks in your head and definitely has the makings of a quality song.
@JonathanRodd
That's one of the main reason's they're such a great musical comedy act.
Their music is genuinely enjoyable.
I find a lot of comedic songs by lesser performers lean way too much on the novelty of their jokes, and the songs themselves just get annoying as a result. If you have jokes but can't write a good song to deliver them, then just tell the jokes. Don't make us endure bad music as part of the package :/
@EricTheCyborg
the "instruments" that the boys are playing are extremely old school video-editing machines on guitars. While Jemaine is playing that "instrument" he's editing the video that is playing in the background, then when Brett comes out and plays his "instrument", he's editing the video of Jemaine. Accompanied by the hilarity & beauty of the song this is definitely one of my favorutie things from FOTC.
@blockminster3282
That makes this video about 50x funnier, thanks for the insight!
@TheKragar
Thank you.
