Full Attention peaked the Billboard Top Christian and Gospel Albums Chart at #47, and the only single released from the album, "Sweetly Broken", peaked at #17 on the Billboard Hot Adult Contemporary Chart during a 20-week stay. However, the single has already grown to be a worship staple in churches and on Christian radio stations all over the United States.
Riddle is a former middle school youth pastor at the Anaheim Vineyard in Anaheim, California, a position he held for 6 years, as well as leading worship at the church. He took the position after a few years of playing in a mainstream band with no success. Being in the position allowed for the inspiration with which he penned the songs that appear on Full Attention.
Riddle is married with three children."
Walk In The Promise
Jeremy Riddle Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
In rest and in quiet for You, spirit
In trust and dependence
We walk in the promise of You coming
With hope and healing in Your wings
With fire and with wind, You fall on us again
For the boldness to carry Your name to the nations
Your signs and Your wonders to go now before us
For the weight of Your glory to rest as we lift You up
We lift You up, be magnified in us
The opening lines of Jeremy Riddle's Walk In The Promise evoke a sense of quiet anticipation and calm trust as our souls wait in silence and rest for the coming of the spirit. It speaks to an inner stillness and patient expectation for the presence of God to come and fill us. The imagery of hope and healing found on the wings of a bird metaphorically represents the restoration and repair that is possible when we allow the Holy Spirit to work within us. With a sense of reverence and humility, the lyrics suggest that we trust and depend on God for guidance and strength in our daily lives.
As the song progresses, it shifts towards a more outward focus, calling out for the boldness to carry God's name to the nations and for signs and wonders to manifest before us. The lyrics suggest that we are called to action and that there is much work to be done in sharing the good news of the Gospel. The phrase "for the weight of Your glory to rest as we lift You up" implies that when we praise God, we create an environment where His glory can manifest and rest upon us.
Overall, Walk In The Promise is a song that encourages us to wait on God, trust in His power, and then go out and boldly share His message with the world.
