Hendrix performed in the early hours of 31 August 1970 at the Isle of Wight Festival to a huge crowd with Mitch Mitchell on drums and Billy Cox on bass. In the beginning Hendrix had technical problems, which at one point during "Machine Gun" involved the security's radio signal interfering with his amp's output.
David Gilmour from Pink Floyd has confirmed that he watched this Hendrix concert in person.

You know you're a cute little heart breaker, ha

And you know you're a sweet little love maker, ha
Foxey
I want to take you home, haha yeah
I won't do you no harm no, ha
Ooh foxey lady, yeah
Foxey, foxey
Now-a I see you come down on the scene
Oh foxey

Where did you get that idea? reading a history book or UTUBE? Pop Festivals were completely different venues than Concerts where some actually had NO seating like Janis Joplin which I saw.. and the ones in stadiums where seating was stadium style but as I recall it.. everyone stood up the whole time even three hour festivals. I lived it. When you are 19 standing up and dancing for 6 hours straight or whatever was not problem. Anyone who actually attended "music" in those days.. well attest to that. but anyway.. have a good day.
@cforssi
I was at this concert. I was 17 years old and somewhere in the audience. People were sitting around because this was an all day festival with lots of bands. Very hot also.
