He is also known for his SCA songs, often written under the SCA name Ioseph of Locksley, and for the infamous Black Book of Locksley, an internet text file with lyrics to many of his SCA folk and filk songs. It includes such classics as Aten Man, Atenveldt Invasion, Ladies in the SCA, Acushla, and Serious Steel and its filk Serious Steal (which actually appeared on the same album Serious Steel, released with Leslie Fish).

He is using sawmill tuning (gDGCD). Key of G minor. In the verses, he alternates between the G minor chord with the index finger on the 2nd fret of the 2nd string and the F chord (with the 2nd string open since it is already raised to C in sawmill tuning).
