Joe was 14 when his Grandad, British Jazz Legend Terry Lightfoot, became terminally ill. Joe and his brother (Drummer) Ollie dug deep and performed with Terry and their mother, Jazz singer Melinda, with Terry Lightfoot’s All Stars at the prestigious Buxton Opera House, Three Generations on One Stage, Joe was just 14 years old at the time!
As with many young singers, he started developing his craft, by performing a mix of covers and originals on the local open mic circuit.
This approach worked well for Joe, as he soon picked up many gigs and accumulated a good number of YouTube videos.
In the Summer of 2013, Joe appeared at Open Mic Nights in London and soon acquired bookings as a featured artist at venues in Finsbury, Camden and Brick Lane.

You can't judge an apple by looking at a tree
You can't judge honey by looking at the bee
You can't judge a daughter by looking at the mother
You can't judge a book by looking at the cover
Oh can't you see
Oh you misjudge me
I look like a farmer, but
I'm a lover
Can't judge a book by looking at the cover
Oh come on in closer baby
Hear what else I gotta say
You got your radio turned down too low
Turn it up
You can't judge sugar by looking at the cane
You can't judge a woman by looking at her man
You can't judge a sister by looking at her brother
You can't judge a book by looking at the cover
Oh can't you see
Oh you misjudge me
I look like a farmer, but
I'm a lover
You can't judge a book by looking at the cover
You can't judge a fish by lookin' in the pond
You can't judge right from looking at the wrong
You can't judge one by looking at the other
You can't judge a book by looking at the cover
Oh can't you see
Oh you misjudge me
I look like a farmer, but
I'm a lover
Can't judge a book by looking at the cover

"You Can't Judge A Book By The Cover"
You can't judge an apple by looking at the tree,
You can't judge honey by looking at the bee,
You can't judge a sister by looking at the brother,
You can't judge a book by looking at the cover.
Oh can't you see, oh, you misjudged me.
I look like a farmer but I'm a lover,
You can't judge a book by looking at the cover.
You can't judge a fish by looking in the pond,
You can't judge right by looking at the wrong,
You can't judge one by looking at the other,
You can't judge a book by looking at the cover.
Oh can't you see, oh, you misjudged me.
I look like a farmer but I'm a lover,
You can't judge a book by looking at the cover.
You can't judge sugar by looking at the cane,
You can't judge a woman by looking at her man,
You can't judge a daughter by looking at her mother,
You can't judge a book by looking at the cover.
Oh can't you see, oh, you misjudged me.
I look like a farmer but I'm a lover,
You can't judge a book by looking at the cover.

Andrew Doherty

@Andrew Doherty I know. But I like the speed of this cover. Both are great. But this one is pure energy.

The Strypes are one of the few bands that move rock forward. Taking nothing from them, it amazes me that more of these viewers have not taken the time to watch Bo do the original. Returning to the root of any song reveals the inspiration for all those that follow and copy. The Strypes would confess that this is their best effort at a copy. No was cheated out of a comfortable life by a dishonest recording industry and a sometimes racist entertainment complex. As did Chuck Berry, Little Richard, Muddy Waters, Howlin Wolf, Louis Jordan and countless others. These artists just wanted you to dance your ads off. Go enjoy them and find out how derivative most covers are...

I would definitely say that this band will have hope to bring back classic rock n roll

I am so gutted that the band disbanded. I have watched them since their very early stage.... I will dearly miss these truly talented lads. I cannot find this type of band, this level of genuine talent this day....What a shame...Thank you for the music! Bless you all, whatever the future may hold.

Oh... I wondered that their are only a few Songs and I only found 1 CD on Amazon... I thought why are they so good but still their not so popular in Music? But somehow it is also good to know that their is more than fame and money!
Great that the music is still there...🙂
