Joe was 14 when his Grandad, British Jazz Legend Terry Lightfoot, became terminally ill. Joe and his brother (Drummer) Ollie dug deep and performed with Terry and their mother, Jazz singer Melinda, with Terry Lightfoot’s All Stars at the prestigious Buxton Opera House, Three Generations on One Stage, Joe was just 14 years old at the time!
As with many young singers, he started developing his craft, by performing a mix of covers and originals on the local open mic circuit.
This approach worked well for Joe, as he soon picked up many gigs and accumulated a good number of YouTube videos.
In the Summer of 2013, Joe appeared at Open Mic Nights in London and soon acquired bookings as a featured artist at venues in Finsbury, Camden and Brick Lane.

@Ward Huyskes Endurance, not speed. Ancient people were 4 feet tall, like the tiny Ethiopian guys who dominate so disproportionately in distance running today. I'm not really talking about ancient people anyway though.
Yes, there are 0.00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001% of the population today that run a lot every day. And it wasn't that long ago when all people ran all the time. A good modern example would be American Natives before we brought them horses. Legendary runners/trackers, because that's how they ate. No runners, no food. If you can't track, you can't eat. That's how you get the classic Indian tracker movie trope.
We have no idea what kind of running extremes humans are capable of today, because we're looking at a tiny sample size. I can invent a sport right now, play it once, and I'm the greatest to ever play it, with no close second.
"hunting was done by running prey into trap and stuff"
It was, much later, after developing the ability to fashion traps. Before that, we stole dead prey from other predatory species, or we chased animals off cliffs, or we chased/tracked it until it was exhausted.
I have seen the man vs horse marathons, they're entertaining. But that's horses versus soft modern indoor couch monkeys who do 99% of their traveling in vehicles. Horses do 99% of their traveling on foot. On hoof...

He just set the Fastest Known Time for a 100-mile trail run in North America, 12:08 at the Tunnel Hill 100.

The fact that Bert Kreisher can run a 7 minute mile for multiple miles is even more insane than this guys record.

@Fred Wise it wasn’t exactly 12 hrs
H Duce
7 minute mile, 100 times, stopping only to pee and poo.
Don Julio
The fact he can run 1 mile in 7 is impressive
