Joe Walsh is such kickass guitarist, songwriter and American musical treasure.

He doesn't get the ink he should for his guitar prowess. I think some of it is because his personality overshadows it.

Cool story from Randy Bachman: 3 rich kids form a bar band near Vancouver in 1960 they order 3 1959 Les Pauls from a catalog. After breaking up the first guy goes to UCLA sells his guitar to a shop. Joe Walsh buys it and later sells it to Jimmy Page. The 2nd guy goes to univ in London sells his guitar there. Keith Richards buys it gives it to Mick Taylor he uses it on Honky Tonk Women. The 3rd guy approaches Randy Bachman backstage at a show offers to trade him his guitar for a Mosrite and 100 bucks. Bachman uses the guitar on American Woman.

Agreed. One of the coolest things you can watch on YouTube is a video of Joe Walsh literally showing you how to properly set up a Gibson Les Paul. Who the hell else would take the time to do that? News you can use. Super cool of him to do that.

Opening lick is iconic , song is a must learn on guitar. James Gang is one of the most underrated bands ever.

Completely agree.
Always been partial to Les Pauls, but I'm in awe of just how fat he is making that Strat sound. Dude is one of the greatest electric guitar players of all time, no doubt about it.

He plays so clean and his voice is still in top shape. Such a talent.
