John Coltrane Lyrics

I ask Him when will I be free He said I am
Asking Him when will I change He said
No matter now, no matter now

Saturn has a ring around it
You can never see it with your eyes
Saturn has a ring around it
Many moons know this to be true
You ask Him how can You be real He said you'll be
Knowing Him how you do now He says rest in this
Rest in this

Heaven has a ring around it
The angels sing a song over you
Heaven has a ring around you
If you don't see it know that it's true

This is definitely my favourite track on this LP

Sometimes You Just Gotta Feel Saturn

This is probably the most disturbing & unsettling album I’ve ever listened to and I’m not sure I know why. Maybe it’s because it was recorded the year John died and was then released posthumously in 1974 or maybe it’s because of the misleading album cover or maybe it’s because there’s only two people that play on the entire record or maybe it’s because of the way John is playing or maybe it’s because there’s no bass and that makes it sound empty or maybe it’s because there’s no piano to make it a little soothing. Anyways, I think John was outta his mind when he and Rashied recorded this. It’s still good nonetheless.

Yeah I get that I don’t have the best punctuation

Reading this with it's mass need of commas hurt, but Yeah it is indeed pretty damn unsettling, I'd put it to Coltrane's playing for this album.
