Crazy Love
John Wiggins Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Oh oh Crazy love, Ay-hi-i-i

Tonight I'm gonna break away
Just you wait and see
I'll never be imprisoned by a faded memory

Just when I think I'm over her
This broken heart will mend
I hear her name and I have to cry
The tears come down again

It happens all the time, this crazy love of mine
Wraps around my heart, refusing to unwind
Oh oh Crazy love, Ay-hi-i-i

Count the stars in a summer sky
That fall without a sound
Oh, and then pretend that you can't hear
These teardrops comin' down

It happens all the time, this crazy love of mine
Wraps around my heart, refusing to unwind
Oh oh Crazy love, Ay-hi-i-i

It happens all the time, this crazy love of mine
Wraps around my heart, refusing to unwi-i-ind
Oh oh Crazy love, Ay-hi-i-i
O-oh-oh
Oh oh Crazy love, Ay-hi-i-i

Tonight I'm gonna break away

Overall Meaning

John Wiggins's song Crazy Love is about the struggle of moving on from a past love. The lyrics suggest that the singer is tired of being held down by the memories of his former love and is determined to break free. He knows that his heart has been broken, but he's convinced that he'll be able to mend the pieces and heal with time. Even though he thinks he's over her, every time he hears her name, he starts to cry, and his heartache returns.

The song continues with the singer describing the pain he feels as he tries to move on. The metaphor of counting the stars falling without a sound represents the emotional pain of letting go, while the tears that come down are a reminder of the love he once had. He acknowledges that the love he had was "crazy" and that he can't seem to shake the hold it has on him.

Overall, Crazy Love is a song about the intense emotions that come with moving on after a failed relationship. It's a reminder that heartbreak can be a long and difficult process, but it's possible to break free from the hold of past love and move on to a happier future.

I know this is super late, and you'll probably never see it, but Audrey is married and has two amazing children, a boy and a girl. She's an amazing mother, and she still loves singing. I'm not sure if John still performs, but I know he has written several number ones, including "Tequila Makes Her Clothes Fall Off," and continues to write today.

Coldylol I’m glad to here that John has had success writing. I liked there music back in the 90s. I even called the station and requested Has Anybody Seen Amy once. I did not know he wrote those songs but I’m sure that as hard as they worked that they both deserved some success in the the business.
