In the summer of 2008, they starred in the Disney Channel Original Movie Camp Rock and its sequel, Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam. They also starred as Kevin, Joe, and Nick Lucas, the band JONAS, in their own Disney Channel series JONAS, which was later re-branded for its second season as Jonas L.A. The show was eventually canceled after two seasons. The band released four albums: It's About Time, Jonas Brothers, A Little Bit Longer, and Lines, Vines and Trying Times.
In 2008, the group was nominated for the Best New Artist award at the 51st Grammy Awards and won the award for Breakthrough Artist at the American Music Awards. Before the release of Lines, Vines and Trying Times, they sold over eight million albums worldwide. After a hiatus in 2010 and 2011 to pursue solo projects, the group reconciled in 2012 to record a new album, which was canceled in 2013 following their breakup. In the years that followed, Nick became a solo artist and actor, Joe formed a band called DNCE, and Kevin stepped out of the spotlight to focus on his family. On February 28, 2019, the band announced their reunion on The Late Late Show with James Corden and planned to put out new music.

On April 5, the group released the single "Cool". The brothers released a statement on social media saying "We believe this is the best thing we can do for our fans, our hard-working crew, and the communities we're visiting." Kelsea Ballerini was announced as a special guest for a majority of shows. On May 21, DJ Marshmello released "Leave Before You Love Me", a single featuring the Jonas Brothers. Two days later, they performed the single at the 2021 Billboard Music Awards, with Nick Jonas also serving as the host for the ceremony. Celebrate tonight
Through the fire we made it, look at us now
Tonight we party like Vegas
Rollin' through the ups and the downs
It's the age-old cross to bare
It's more than enough to get up and out your chair
Celebrate with me tonight
(Celebrate tonight)
Celebrate while we got time
(Celebrate tonight)
So lucky to have you in my life
(Celebrate tonight) hey
You better, you better hit the right and
Hit the left now, turn around and slide
We made it through all of the years and all of the tears
We need to move, me and you we're gonna one-step, two-step
Through the ups and the downs
It's the age-old cross to bare
Living, living, living
It's more than enough to get up and off your chair
(Oh) celebrate with me tonight
(Celebrate tonight)
Celebrate while we got time
(Celebrate tonight)
So lucky to have you in my life
(Celebrate tonight)
You better, you better hit the right and
Hit the left now, turn around and slide
Oh, somebody, somebody celebrate with me tonight
Celebrate with me tonight
(Celebrate tonight)
Celebrate while we got time
(Celebrate tonight)
Lucky to have you in my life
(Celebrate tonight)
You better, you better hit the right and
Hit the left now, turn around and slide
Hit the right and
Hit the left now
Turn around and slide
In the song "Celebrate" by Jonas Brothers, the lyrics convey a message of victory, unity, and gratitude. The repeated phrase "Celebrate tonight" serves as a rallying cry for revelry and joy in the face of adversity. The lyrics start by acknowledging the challenges faced, symbolized by "Through the fire we made it," but they celebrate the resilience and strength that brought the individuals to where they are now. The comparison to partying like in Vegas adds a sense of extravagance and glamor to the celebration, emphasizing the magnitude of the achievement.
The theme of enduring hardships and persevering through life's highs and lows continues as they mention "Rollin' through the ups and the downs." The "age-old cross to bare" may refer to the burdens or struggles inherent in the human experience, but the call to keep living and pushing forward suggests a hopeful outlook on overcoming obstacles. The encouragement to "get up and off your chair" can be seen as an invitation to embrace life, take risks, and embrace new experiences.
The chorus of the song highlights the importance of celebrating with loved ones, expressing gratitude for their presence and support. The lyrics emphasize the significance of relationships and connections, acknowledging the role of companionship in making life fulfilling. The call to dance and move together, symbolized by phrases like "one-step, two-step," further reinforces the theme of unity and shared experiences.
In the final verses, the lyrics intensify the party atmosphere, with an invitation for others to join in the celebration. The repetition of the command to "hit the right and hit the left now, turn around and slide" creates a sense of exuberance and movement, encouraging listeners to let loose and enjoy the moment. The song culminates in a collective call for celebration, unity, and appreciation for the joys and challenges that make life rich and meaningful.
