Slow Motion

Can we talk about the hearts
Can we talk about everything in between
Can we talk about where were going
Can we talk about the start
They said it would move fast
Change is in the air
My heart needs to be aware
Its moving on by
Everybody knows this time be moving way to fast
So bittersweet end-in baby
Can we just slow it down
Can we just have everybody be moving in Slow Motion
Cause everybody's hearts be broken (Broken, broken)
Can we just get away (get away) get away (get away)
Lets be moving in Slow Motion
At a faster pace (faster pace) at a slower rate (slower rate)
Im talking Slow Motion (scared slow-motion)
I wish we had more time
But it's time, a time for a new path
A path for rearranging
It's all moving to fast
Can we just slow down
Everybody knows this time be moving way to fast
So bittersweet end-in baby
Can we just slow it down
Can we just have everybody be moving in Slow Motion
Cause everybody's hearts be broken (Broken, broken)
Can we just get away (get away) get away (get away)
Lets be moving in Slow Motion
At a faster pace (faster pace) at a slower rate (slower rate)
Im talking Slow Motion (scared slow-motion)
Joseph's song Slow Motion is an emotional plea to slow down and cherish the present moment. The song starts with a call to talk about the start and the hearts, which could refer to the beginning of a relationship or even life. The lyrics encourage deep reflection on everything in between, suggesting a desire to linger in each moment and savor the experiences rather than rushing through them.
The chorus repeatedly calls for a slowdown, with a recognition that time is moving too fast and everyone's hearts are broken. The pain of the fast pace of life is palpable and the desire to escape is strong. Joseph seems to be saying that he wishes he had more time, but it's time for a new path. The song acknowledges that change is in the air and that the heart needs to be aware, but slow motion is what's needed at this point.
In summary, Slow Motion is a touching reminder of the importance of taking things slow and relishing each moment. It acknowledges the fleeting nature of time and the pain that comes with it, while emphasizing the need to slow down and cherish what's in front of us.
