Jugando con Kurt nace en Barcelona cuando Antonio Rodríguez y Carlos Martínez se conocen e inician unos encuentros musicales que, casi sin buscarlo, darán pie a las primeras melodías de su actual proyecto.
En Enero del 2013 publican su primer EP, de nombre homónimo. En 2015 el grupo lanza el primer LP, “La Bola del Mundo” y es seleccionado para tocar en el ciclo Primavera als Barris del festival Primavera Sound, además de quedar finalistas como grupo Revelación Contempopránea 2016.
Años después, en junio de 2023, vuelven a presentar nuevos temas siguiendo la misma senda eléctrica ruidosa, con un nuevo EP titulado "Sugarpop".
