Not A Trace
Just Lyrics

Is what I'm feeling inside
But I'm not standing and waiting over something
Over something I tried and
We could break it and hide
Waiting for something and wasting my life
We were young and abandoned
Not a trace of what I see in you
If I knew anything I find a way to give
What I'm hiding inside
And I'm not standing and waiting over something
Got no reason to try and
I could break it and hide
Waiting for something and wasting my life
We were young and abandoned
Feels like I'm walking all over you
Not a trace of what I see in you
Waiting for something and wasting my life
We were young and abandoned
Feels like I'm walking all over you
We're walking all over you
Not a trace of what I see in you
The lyrics to Just's song "Not A Trace" depict the emotions of someone who is dealing with a broken heart and is struggling to make sense of their current situation. The first stanza talks about how the singer realizes that they are feeling like a waste due to their broken heart, yet they are not willing to wait around and linger over something that they have already tried. They go on to say that they could break it and hide, which suggests that they are ready to move on from their current state of mind and start a new chapter.
The chorus emphasizes the theme of waiting for something and feeling like they are wasting their lives. They reference the fact that they were once young and abandoned, which adds to the overall sorrowful tone of the song. The line "Feels like I'm walking all over you" is particularly poignant because it suggests that the singer knows that they are hurting someone else with their actions, but they feel like they have no other choice. The final line, "not a trace of what I see in you", indicates that the singer has perhaps lost faith in the person they were once in love with and can no longer recognize the qualities that they once admired.
Overall, "Not A Trace" is a powerful song that resonates with anyone who has ever experienced heartbreak and the confusing emotions that come with it.
