“This is the record I’ve been wanted to make for years”, says Rosolino. “It’s a record that says something as a whole - an album in the old school sense - something that can be listened to from start to finish and takes you along for the ride, not just a bunch of non-related, radio-friendly songs.” Produced and mixed by Nashville local Mitch Dane (Jars of Clay) and mastered by Jacquire King (Tom Waits, No Doubt), “Wonderlust” marks the newest chapter in the rise of an authentic, wonderfully-gifted singer-songwriter.
Justin started playing guitar when he was six years old, which in a family like his, seemed the natural thing to do. His father sang and played guitar in the New York R&B circuit – places like the Apollo and the Cotton Club – and Justin began sitting in with the band by the time he was twelve.
His growth as a musician continued through his teens, and in 1991 he left New York for Charlottesville, Virginia, where he put down his electric guitar to front Southern Exposure, an acoustic duo that soon became a local mainstay. Within their first two years of performing, the folk/rock pair were jamming sell-out crowds into local venues and playing with prominent regional acts like SGGL and Jackopierce. They were later voted in as one of the top ten bands in the area, sharing the honor with groups like the Dave Matthews Band. It was at the University of Virginia that Justin began broadening his musical horizons, venturing beyond his folk/rock roots and joining an R&B/funk band, a gospel choir and nationally renowned collegiate chorus. Naturally, this expanded his understanding of music and his approach to the acoustic guitar, and he began digging into the more experimental styles of Michael Hedges, Paul Simon and Jimmy Page.
Moving south in early 1997, Justin quickly established himself in the Atlanta acoustic scene. Before he’d even found a place to live he’d already won his first songwriting/performance competition at the nationally-renowned venue Eddie’s Attic. Since then he’s performed in over 30 states as well as overseas, selling over 4,500 recordings along the way. Highlights have included performances with the likes of India.Arie, David Wilcox, Ellis Paul and Angie Aparo. Justin has also written TV commercial music for Ford, grown as an accomplished session guitarist in Nashville and Atlanta, gotten airplay on indie radio from Canada to the Czech Republic and everywhere in between, and even got to perform for President George W. Bush in the Spring of ’03.
“Wonderlust” is a must have for all music fans who are looking for something a little deeper. Take the reflective lyrics found in folk, add the passionate energy of rock and the textural depth of artful pop, and you’ve got the basic recipe for Justin’s music. At times reminiscent of Jeff Buckley, Elliott Smith and Lenny Kravitz, “Wonderlust” travels through the whole range of human emotions.

Still Lonely With You
Justin Rosolino Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
We almost arrived
And we finally believed
We were coming to life
Was it too much to ask for
When I fell to my knees
Or were we just easy
A little too easy to please
[Chorus]
Ooo
Let's keep this between me and you
They say misery loves company
And I guess that it's true
So I'd rather be
Still lonely with you
And I know you've been trying, my love
To get deeper inside
And parade through the barricades
To find all the places
I like to hide
Well a part of me might be
Still deep under the ground
Or maybe you've already seen
All that I've ever found
I've ever found
[Chorus]
Ooo
Let's keep this between me and you
They say misery loves company
And I guess that it's true
So I'd rather be
Still lonely with you
Holding on
We're drifting at sea
Holding on
To you holding me
Holding on
We're drifting at sea
Holding on
Drifting
[Chorus]
Ooo
Let's keep this between me and you
They say misery loves company
And I guess that it's true
Oh and I'd rather be
Yeah I'd rather be
Still I'd rather be
Ooo I'd rather be
Still lonely with you
The lyrics of Justin Rosolino's "Still Lonely With You" is a reflection on the complexities of relationships. The song tells a story of two people who have been through a lot together and are still holding on to each other despite their challenges. The opening lines, "So we rose up to glory, We almost arrived" suggest that they were on top of the world and happy. Rosolino then goes on to say "was it too much to ask for, when I fell to my knees," alluding to the fact that it probably was too much to ask for, as that moment of glory was almost unattainable. Perhaps they were clinging onto a dream that they both knew wouldn't last forever. The repetition of "easy to please" shows that maybe the relationship was convenient and comfortable, despite not being perfect.
The song's catchy chorus “Let's keep this between me and you, They say misery loves company, And I guess that it's true, So I'd rather be Still lonely with you” is relatable to anyone that has felt the desire to cling onto a flawed relationship because of the fear of being alone. Although the lyrics suggest that they are both miserable, they are miserable together. The song's closing lines repeat the 'still lonely with you' assertion, showing that despite the rough times, they are holding on - whether that's a positive or negative thing.

So we rose up to glory
We thought we were achieving greatness
We almost arrived
Our success was right within reach
And we finally believed
Our dreams were becoming a reality
We were coming to life
We were becoming alive, feeling truly happy
Was it too much to ask for
Did we set our expectations too high?
When I fell to my knees
When I was desperate for success
Or were we just easy
Did we make things too easy for ourselves?
A little too easy to please
Were we content with small accomplishments?
Let's keep this between me and you
We should keep our struggles and pain private
They say misery loves company
Others like to share in our struggles
And I guess that it's true
I agree with that sentiment
So I'd rather be
I prefer to be
Still lonely with you
Even though we may feel lonely, I still want to be with you
And I know you've been trying, my love
You have been making an effort, my dear
To get deeper inside
To truly understand me
And parade through the barricades
To break down the walls I have built
To find all the places
To uncover all the parts of me
I like to hide
That I try to keep hidden
Well a part of me might be
There could be a hidden part of me
Still deep under the ground
That is buried deep inside me
Or maybe you've already seen
Perhaps you have already discovered
All that I've ever found
Every part of me that I have uncovered
We're drifting at sea
We feel lost and aimless
To you holding me
As long as we are together and holding onto each other
Drifting
Wandering without direction
