K-Ci and JoJo's first sign of independence came in 1994 when K-Ci covered Bobby Womack's hit "If You Think You're Lonely Now" for the movie Jason's Lyric. Early in 1996, K-Ci and Jo-Jo teamed up for the song "How Could You" for the movie Bulletproof starring Damon Wayans and Adam Sandler.
By July 1996, K-Ci and JoJo finally had a hit on their hands as guest artists in 2Pac's number-one R&B hit "How Do U Want It". It also topped the Billboard Hot 100. The brothers made their side projects into a full album, Love Always. Released on June 17, 1997, the album spawned two top-ten R&B hits: "You Bring Me Up" and "Last Night's Letter". "All My Life" was the number-one song on the Hot 100 for three weeks, a feat that K-Ci and Jo-Jo had never achieved with Jodeci.Love Always went on to sell four million copies, and the success of the album put Jodeci's reunion on hold indefinitely.
Their second album,It's Real, was released on June 22, 1999. It spawned one major hit "Tell Me It's Real" which peaked at number two on the Billboard Hot 100 and Billboard's R&B charts. K-Ci and Jo-Jo returned with X on December 5, 2000. "X", the Roman numeral for ten, was picked as the album title to celebrate the Haileys' tenth anniversary in the music business. They made a strong return to the Billboard Hot 100 early in 2001 with the song "Crazy", also included on the Save the Last Dance soundtrack. "Crazy" peaked at number three on the Billboard Hot 100.
The fourth K-Ci and Jo-Jo album, Emotional, was released on November 26, 2002, but failed to find commercial success. K-Ci and JoJo released a greatest hits album on February 8, 2005. They are believed to have teamed back up with DeVante Swing and Mr. Dalvin for a Jodeci reunion album.

You been leaving every night at the very same time
You claim you've been going to work
But I ain't seen one damn dime babe
Does this job require that you I bring a night gown trim in lace
Cause the one that I just bought for you disappeared without a trace
Late at night I hold my pillow tight
And I wished that it was you
Feeling like I'm abused
Caused baby I think you doing me wrong
Fee fie foe fum
Got a feeling you've been creeping with someone
How could you do this to me
Thought that you would really love me
Fee fie foe fum
Got a feeling you've been creeping with someone
How could you do this to me
Thought that you would really love me
Listen baby
How could you try to lay me like I was your fool
Why stray if you want to play
Baby girl you go to move
Someone called me last night
He didn't leave his name
All he said to me was watch your back
Cause your girl is playing games
Late at night I hold my pillow tight
And I wish that it was you
I'm up till 6:00
When you turn the lock
Feel like I've been abused
Cause you got me thinking
You doing me wrong
Fee fie foe fum
Got a feeling you've been creeping with someone
How could you do this to me
Thought that you would really love me
The lyrics to K-Ci & JoJo's "Fee Fie Foe Fum" paint the picture of a man who suspects his partner is cheating on him. He notices that she leaves every night at the same time, claims to be going to work but doesn't bring home any money, and wonders if her supposed job requires her to wear lingerie to work. Despite the evidence piling up, he doesn't want to believe his partner could be cheating on him, yet he feels betrayed and abused by the situation. He then receives an anonymous call warning him that his partner is playing games, and he struggles to come to terms with the possibility that what he feared might be true.
The lyrics highlight the emotions experienced by someone who is dealing with infidelity in their relationship. The singer goes through a range of emotions, from denial to sorrow to anger. He's confused and hurt by his partner's actions and is struggling to come to terms with what he suspects is happening. The repetition of "Fee Fie Foe Fum" intensifies the feeling of something ominous looming in the background, adding a sense of mystery to the lyrics.

They had hits with Jodeci but KCi and JoJo were a beast on their own as a duo. Some of my absolute fav songs come from them.
