"Diamonds EP" (Dec 2009) on Mine All Mine! Records
No one track on the Diamonds EP was written for a single person. While I speak to "you" in each song, that "you" is a combination of myself, my family and my friends. The EP is about outgrowing the comfort that surrounds childhood and adolescence and all of the hardships you face in "the real world". The album is about balancing sickness with responsibility. It is about religion, about secrets, and it is about lies.
"Caffeiene LP" (Aug 2009) Self released/Mine All Mine! Records

"This Gun's For Shooting Stars" (April 2009) on Mine All Mine! Records
"The second full-length release by K. Wilhelm, this release sees his dark, dirty rock experimental pop move even farther into its own corner of the music world. Definitely a skilled musician, you must download This Gun's For Shooting Stars if you have any inkling of taste in music."

K. Wilhelm Lyrics

It's clear it's blurry
Your head my mind your mind my head as one
It's real the foolish worry
I feel you and you feel me as I feel you
It's good it's scary
The speed the heat it's deep and steep
Listen when I'm silent there's a
Sound that only you can hear
Listen when it's quiet I know
You can hear it cover up your ears
Cover up your ears
Your hands, my mouth, your mouth, my hands
The weight of what we're thinking
No words, the air we breathe
It's not liquid, but we're drinking
Listen when I'm silent there's a
Sound that only you can hear
Listen when it's quiet I know
You can hear it, cover up your ears
Cover up your ears
Listen when I'm silent there's a
Sound that only you can hear
A sound that only you can hear
A sound that only you can hear
A sound that only you can hear
In K. Wilhelm's song "You Can Run," the lyrics are a poetic expression of the complex and intimate experiences of shared thoughts and emotions in a close relationship. The singer describes the intertwined nature of their minds, as they think of each other and feel each other's feelings. The line "the weight of what we're thinking" highlights the intensity and depth of their connection, and the struggle to express feelings that are too profound for words.
The refrain "listen when I'm silent there's a sound that only you can hear" speaks to the profound understanding they have of each other, where they can communicate without words. The suggestion to "cover up your ears" is a playful invitation to a form of secret communication, highlighting the private and unique nature of their relationship.
The song conveys a sense of vulnerability and intimacy, as the singer explores the joys and fears of opening oneself up to another person. The lines "it's good, it's scary" and "it's light but hard to carry" capture the complex emotions that come with such intimacy.
Overall, K. Wilhelm's "You Can Run" is a beautifully crafted song that celebrates the unique and powerful nature of close relationships, where words are sometimes not enough to convey the depth of understanding and connection between two people.
