So I catch up to her while she heading to her class
He saw her on the way to her class

But she turned and walked way I just don't understand
She rejected his advances and walked away

But then she did something unexpected

The note revealed that she only wanted to be friends

He tried to act calm and cool with her decision

I would call her then I would hang up
He used to call her and then hang up without saying anything

But years later this email shows up
Years later, he received an email from her

Most of the time I would've been like so what
Normally he wouldn't have cared but he was curious

She hit me up on my myspace
She contacted him on social media

Said she saw my cd and recognized my face
She saw his CD and recognized him from their past

The whole thing now was really really quite strange
The whole situation was odd and unexpected

I had to think back about how much that I'd changed
He reflected on how much he had changed since then

He attributed his positive changes to his faith in Christ

So far in life and as I look back on that day
As he looked back on that experience, he realized how far he had come in life

I realize how much grace that God gave
He recognized the grace that God had given him
