心根
KK Lyrics

The song "心根" (Shinkon) by KK talks about a boy who has been given a direction to follow in life, and the struggles and experiences he faces along the way. The first line asks whether the boy was smiling when he was given this direction, questioning what his true feelings were towards it. The next line expresses the desire to not be disliked by anyone, potentially showing the pressure to conform and fit in. However, the following line urges the boy to hold onto his true feelings, to not bottle them up and instead embrace them strongly.
The next verse talks about the days when the boy wished to be recognized or accepted by others, but acknowledges that the past cannot be changed and that his genuine feelings from that time are still cherished. This is the proof of his existence and he will continue to carry it with him. The bridge speaks of the fear of not knowing the right answer and the struggle to fill the emptiness inside, but the answer lies in their song, a song that connects and saves them.
The last stanza talks about the future ahead, where there will still be tough and unbearable days for the boy. There may even be days where he despairs and wants everything to end. However, it is emphasized that he has chosen his path, and he is proud and shining for it. The final line concludes that even as the scenery changes, the beginning always lies within the heart.
Overall, "心根" is a song that talks about the challenges of staying true to oneself, the pressure to conform, and the struggle to find direction in life. It encourages the listener to hold onto their feelings and to believe in the path they have chosen.
