Jine ko jaruri hai ke ho dil ka sauda
Kabhi toh khushi hai, kabhi hai ghum, iss mele mein yaar
Har koyi magar karein hai phir bhi dekho na pyar
Deewaano se bhara jahaan yeh, pyar ka hu main bhi deewaana
Gaao na mere sang tum yeh taraana
Kisi ne kahaan hai khuda bhi yaar ko
Koyi toh duba hai nadi mein hasake yaar ke saath
Hai yahi junun, yahi hai pyar ki pyari si baat
Deewaano se bhara jahaan yeh, pyar ka hu main bhi deewaana
Gaao na mere sang tum yeh taraana
Deewaano se bhara jahaan yeh, pyar ka hu main bhi deewaana
Gaao na mere sang tum yeh taraana

In KK's song "Dekho Na," the lyrics speak of a carnival where people come to trade and find joy. The main character of the song seeks to find love within the festivities and navigate the ups and downs of life. The first stanza sets the tone for the song, with the main character acknowledging the different emotions present at the carnival. While some people are happy, others are sad, yet everyone is still searching for love. The lyrics mention that the carnival is filled with people who are crazy (literally translated as "madmen"), indicating that the carnival is a place of wild abandon where everyone comes to let go of their inhibitions.
The second stanza adds a spiritual element to the song. The main character acknowledges that some people believe that even God is searching for love in this world. The lyrics also reference a person who has gone through tough times yet still finds joy in life. The line "hai yahi junun, yahi hai pyar ki pyari si baat" translates to "this is the passion, this is the lovely thing about love." It suggests that the joy of love can be found even in the darkest of moments.
Overall, "Dekho Na" is a song about finding love in a world full of chaos and uncertainty. The carnival serves as a metaphor for life, with all its ups and downs. The lyrics encourage listeners to embrace the good and bad and to keep searching for love even when things get tough.
