Tu to na ayi teri yaad ayi
Yoon tarsayi yoon tadpayi
Shaam-e-judai
Tu to na ayi teri yaad ayi
Tu to na ayi teri yaad ayi
Dekhte hai hum hasraton se
Tu to na ayi teri yaad ayi
Tu to na ayi teri yaad ayi
Yoon tarsayi yoon tadpayi
Shaam-e-judai
Tu to na ayi teri yaad ayi
Tu to na ayi teri yaad ayi
Paigaam to kuch bhejti
Hai kuch wajah ya
Yoon hi bewajah
Tu jo na ayi
Dene legi dil ko dilasa
Har pal tere aane ki asha
Tu to na ayi teri yaad ayi
Tu to na ayi teri yaad ayi
Yoon sharmayi yeh tanhai
Aankhein bhar ayi
Tu to na ayi teri yaad ayi
Tu to na ayi teri yaad ayi
The lyrics of KK's song Yeh Tanhai describe the feeling of loneliness and longing for a lost love. The singer expresses his sadness and frustration over the fact that his love has not returned and reminisces about the moments they shared together. He describes how he is haunted by the memories of his lover and how he yearns for her company. The singer also mentions how he sees her pictures on his walls and how it makes him feel even more isolated and disconnected from her. The chorus of the song repeats the phrase "Tu to na ayi teri yaad ayi" which translates to "You did not come but your memories did" and underscores the singer's feeling of emptiness and sadness.
