Wake up, baby, talk to me
I could take it so you don't have to lie
All these questions in my head
Whatcha doing in my bed?
If you can't take it gonna have to say goodbye
Something's on your mind
Better let it out
I'm giving you a chance
Better make it right tonight
'Cause nobody knows
What a minute holds
60 seconds can make or break your life
I'm not holding on
About to let go
You better speak your soul
Because you're running out of time
11:59
Tell me where you wanna be, oh
What the hell is the wrong with me
I've been loving you for way too long
Something's on your mind
Middle of the night
Better let it out
I'm giving you a chance
You better make it right tonight
Nobody knows
What a minute holds
60 seconds can make or break your life
I'm not holding on
About to let go
You better speak your soul
Because you're running out of time
11:59
You're at the point where you could win or lose
When you gonna learn to play by the rules?
It's a matter of seconds before you regret it
Nobody knows
What a minute holds
60 seconds can make or break your life
Not holding on about to let go
You better speak your soul
Because you're running out of time
11:59
See I'm not gonna cry
I'm not gonna cry, no no no...
11:59
The song "11:59" by KZ Tandingan is an introspective look at a tumultuous relationship. The opening lines suggest that the singer has been witness to something that has not been shared with them, and they are urging their partner to open up and communicate. The lyrics "Something's on your mind, middle of the night, better let it out" speak to the urgency the singer feels in trying to mend their relationship. They know that something has to change, but they cannot make it happen alone.
The metaphor of the title "11:59" suggests that the relationship is at a critical juncture, and it is about to end. The final minute before midnight is described as a time when everything can change, and it is up to the singer's partner to take control of the situation. The lyrics "You're at the point where you could win or lose, when you gonna learn to play by the rules?" suggest that the singer is tired of being hurt and is giving their partner an ultimatum.
Overall, the song is a deeply emotional reflection of a relationship that is on the edge. It speaks to the power of communication and the importance of taking ownership of one's actions before it is too late.
