Kaize Adams Lyrics

The works of your hands
The moon and the stars
You set in place
What is man
That you are mindful of him
The son of man that you
You made him a little lower
Than the heavenly beings
And you crowned him
With glory and honor
You made him ruler over
The works of your hands
And you put everything
Under his feet
You put everything
Under his feet
O Lord, our lord
How majestic is your name
You made him a little lower
Than the heavenly beings
And you crowned him
With glory and honor
You made him ruler over
The works of your hands
And you put everything
Under his feet
You put everything
Under his feet
O Lord, our lord
How majestic is your name
In Kaize Adams's song Psalm 8, the lyrics express a sense of awe and wonder at the amazing works of God's hands. The song refers to the moon and stars that God set in place and then goes on to ponder the place of humanity in the grand design. The song asks the rhetorical question, "What is man that you are mindful of him?" and recognizes that God has given humanity a special place in creation. According to the song, God made humans "a little lower" than heavenly beings, but still crowned them with "glory and honor." The song also states that God has given humans dominion over the works of His hands and has put everything under their feet. Overall, the lyrics of the song celebrate God's majesty, humanity's place in creation, and the greatness of God's name.
