The lyrics of Kelly Monroe's song "Mama Said" talk about resilience and the lessons learned from the singer's mother. The opening lines "I won't break again, but I'll bend, hold you but won't carry your sins, you can keep on leaning" suggest that while the singer is strong, they wonβt take on the burdens of others. The line "Showing up, but I've been around, I know what's up" shows that the singer is experienced and can recognize the faults in others.
The chorus "Slow down, 'cause it just keeps rollin', be sad but the show keeps going on, full hand, keep it close, don't show 'em, my mama said to me let 'em in, make 'em work hard for it, make the bread, don't rely on nothing, no, give it time, it can wait till morning" talks about keeping your head high, working hard, and letting things fall into place naturally. It also emphasizes the importance of being patient and waiting for opportunities to come on their own time. The line "The more you give, the more that they take, so wine and dine but make your own plateβ suggests that the singer knows that people will always take advantage of vulnerable individuals who give too much of themselves.
In summary, "Mama Said" by Kelly Monrow is a song about resilience and independence, with lyrics filled with sound advice about life from the singer's mother.

The true definition of a song that will never die. Out a year ago. The guitar riff is on my mind starting 0:50. All things aside, this song makes me a proud MAMA.
Women are in general idolized for the wrong reasons today in the music industry.
I thought it was another cheesy song about sex, but this shocked me, how refreshing to finally witness a song without all the toxic shit being pumped into our heads, i love how it promotes humanity without drama.
Let em in make em work hard for it
Make the bread don't rely on nothing, no
Give it time it can wait 'til morning
She said mama Said
This song makes me proud to be a real, authentic, and natural MAMA. Love you, Kelly!
This concept does not exist in 2023.

Mind bending video! Pure! Clean! No one is naked, no one is worshipping the devil! No one is twerking!
No disrespect, but I think this is a carnal Christian response. Many of these hip hop artists and others in the entertainment industry are dibbing and dabbing into occultism and "selling their souls" for money, fame, and fortune, and that's just a fact.
This lady did not do that, and props for it!
Every industry has its pros and cons whether it's music movies coporates jobs etc which is a bitter truth. But this music video is truthness. Thank you for keeping us sane.
If you play with the devil, he plays back. Pay attention to what you pay attention to.
All that needs to be said.

This is what real American women should be pushing for, recognition, grit and pride in their motherhood.
