Succubus
Ken Carson Lyrics

(Wake up-)
Yeah-ah, yeah-ah
Yeah-ah, yeah, yeah
Yeah-ah

My emo bitch like to slit her wrists, yeah, she's so dark
She was moving too fast, I had to put that bitch in park
She said "Boy, don't start with me," but I already started
How you let your ex drive you crazy, and he ain't got no car? Yeah-ah
If this ain't Heaven, this bitch goin' to hell
This bitch a succubus, she suck me, yeah
Yeah-ah, yeah

I'm off the shits right now, these drugs got me talking sideways
I can't control myself, I'm doing the opposite of what my mind say
I can't find the exit, huh, huh, I'm on the highway
But I just found a bitch that'll let me help her, yeah, my way (my way)
And me and that bitch do whatever I say
Bitch, I'm not Tom, but I need my space (my space, yeah)
Don't be afraid, if you want to leave, don't let me get in your way
If you want to try something new, that's okay (that's okay)
Make your own decisions, I'm not phased
Just like Lil Uzi, baby girl, my love is rage
And I can fully understand if you can't deal with it
Every time I switch time frames, I text a ho like, "I'm in your city"
She wanna fuck me, I wanna fuck her, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, she with it
I'm off the lean, she off the Casamigos and she 'bout to get it
Shawty fell in love with my swag, and now she takin' off my Rick
Why your ho staring so hard? I'm 'bout to take off with your bitch
These niggas be talking like Phineas, but I'm like Ferb, I don't say shit
Yeah, I heard the word, but before I repeat it, I'ma forget it
Raf Simons swag, the pants pleated, the sweater knitted
Every time she pop out, yeah, yeah, they know that's my bitch
Every time I pop out, it's a party, yeah, it's lit

My emo bitch like to slit her wrists, yeah, she's so dark
She was moving too fast, I had to put that bitch in park
She said, "Boy don't start with me" but I already started
How you let your ex drive you crazy, and he ain't got no car? Yeah-ah
If this ain't Heaven, this bitch goin' to hell

This bitch a succubus, she suck me, yeah
Yeah-ah, yeah

The lyrics to Ken Carson's song "Succubus" delve into a tumultuous and destructive relationship. The opening lines set a dark tone, with references to an emo girl who self-harms by slitting her wrists. The singer acknowledges that she is deeply troubled, but he was drawn to her despite her darkness. The line "she was moving too fast, I had to put that bitch in park" suggests that the intensity of the relationship was overwhelming and needed to be slowed down.

The concept of a succubus is introduced, a mythical creature that seduces men and drains their energy. Here, the singer likens this girl to a succubus, implying that she is draining him emotionally and sexually. The line "if this ain't Heaven, this bitch goin' to hell" suggests that their relationship is far from ideal and is leading them both towards destruction.

The second verse further explores the singer's state of mind. He confesses to being under the influence of drugs, which are distorting his perception and inhibiting his ability to control himself. He mentions finding a girl who allows him to be himself and fulfill his desires, but also acknowledges that he respects her own independence and decision-making.

The lyrics also include references to popular culture, such as mentioning Lil Uzi Vert's album "Luv Is Rage" and referencing the characters Phineas and Ferb. These references add layers to the song, showcasing the singer's interests and influences.

Dear Kenyetta Lee Frazier Jr.

I was at a Walmart buying airpods so i could listen to your music. Suddenly a robber entered the store and yelled at everyone to get on the ground. Everybody was screaming in fear and shaking, however I was the only brave one. I blasted your music video, Succubus, to the whole walmart. Everybody could hear it. The robber shed a tear at such a masterpiece. he started to dance with joy. All the customers who shook in fear at first, started to dance with the robber. All the employees, customers, men, women, children, and dogs rejoiced. They all sung the lyrics to your song, Succubus. The crowd was like a church choir, and all of their voices perfectly harmonized with each other.

So you see Ken Carson, your music has saved many lives inside that walmart on that day. Everybody in my town listens to your music. You have changed our town for the better. When I ask my kids what they want to be when they grow up, they all yell "Ken Carson!" Your music plays in school instead of the pledge of allegiance.

With the greatest admiration,

Wambadoo

In the vibrant tapestry of musical history, there are certain songs that etch themselves into the very fabric of our memories, becoming inseparable from moments of joy, love, and discovery. For me, one such song is "Succubus " by Ken Carson, a timeless masterpiece that catapults me back to the vibrant soundscape of 1979.

As the opening notes of "Succubus" unfurl, it's as though a portal to the past swings wide open, inviting me to relive cherished moments from my youth. Back in 1979, this song was not just a part of my playlist; it was a companion on countless journeys, both literal and metaphorical. Whether it was playing on the radio during road trips with friends or softly serenading me through late-night study sessions, its melody and lyrics became the soundtrack to some of my most cherished memories.

One of the most enchanting aspects of "Succubus" is its ability to evoke a kaleidoscope of emotions with its soul-stirring harmonies and poignant lyrics. Each verse is a poetic journey, weaving tales of love, longing, and introspection with a delicate touch that resonates deeply with listeners. The melody itself is like a gentle caress, wrapping around you like a warm embrace and whisking you away to a realm where time seems to stand still.

Listening to "Succubus" today transports me back to a simpler time, where the air was thick with optimism and every note seemed to carry the promise of endless possibilities. It's a testament to the enduring power of music to transcend the boundaries of time and space, connecting us to moments and emotions long past yet still vivid in our hearts.

Moreover, the production quality of the song stands the test of time. From the lush instrumentation to the impeccable vocal performance, every aspect of "Succubus" speaks to the talent and artistry of Ken Carson. It's no wonder that even after decades, this song continues to captivate audiences and earn its place among the pantheon of musical classics.

In conclusion, "Succubus" isn't just a song; it's a treasure trove of memories, a time capsule of emotions, and a testament to the enduring power of music to touch our souls. Listening to it is like revisiting an old friend, one who never fails to bring a smile to your face and warmth to your heart. And for me, that's the true magic of music.

@mohammadshirzad1072

As my father lay on his deathbed at the age of 55, his frail form seemed to fade against the stark hospital sheets. His breaths were shallow, his eyes heavy with the weight of impending departure. In the quiet of that room, with the solemnity of farewell hanging thick in the air, he uttered his last wish: "Play 'Succubus' by Ken Carson."

With a sense of urgency, I reached for my phone, fingers trembling as I searched for the song. As the haunting melody filled the room, something extraordinary began to happen. My grandfather's frail body seemed to stir, his chest rising with newfound strength. And then, to my disbelief, he levitated from his deathbed, defying the very laws of mortality.

In that moment, it was as though the power of music transcended the boundaries of life and death. Tears welled in my eyes as I watched my father return from the brink, his spirit rekindled by the ethereal strains of Ken Carson's masterpiece.

In the days that followed, my father's health improved miraculously, his vitality restored in ways that defied medical explanation. And though he never spoke of that extraordinary moment again, I knew that it was the music of "Succubus" that had breathed new life into his aging frame.

To Ken Carson, I offer my deepest gratitude. Your music became the vessel through which my father found renewal, a beacon of hope in his darkest hour. Thank you, Kenyatta, for the gift of your artistry, for the magic woven into every note.
