In an Family Guy episode that came out in 2009, Peter discover that Quagmire was born in 1948 and Peter says (You where born in 1948, your 61?) So this explains why he was a young twentysometing Tennis player in the 1970s but he got to be in a very good shape if he was able to play Tennis from the 1960s and 1970s to the early 2000s! I don't want to be that "guy" but, I don't think he should joke about that. I know the story of McFarlane's near death experience, but come on, don't joke about that. If I created Family guy, I wouldn't put any 9/11 jokes. I know it's a cartoon, but seriously, the families of the victims would find this very disturbing and disrespectful. The only credit I'll give Family Guy is the whole "Brian preventing 9/11", because at least it wasn't trying to crack a joke.

There were plenty of jokes when Brian prevented 9/11. And they were about the incident itself, too. Satire and dark humor are Family Guy's bread and butter. It satirizes and makes fun of everyone and everything. 9/11 included. Besides, nothing is off limits when it comes to comedy. You can joke about practically anything. The subject matter itself isn't funny, but the punchline to the joke is funny.
