On November 30, 2015 an "under group" was announced under the name of Kana Keyakizaka46 (けやき坂46) with Nagahama Neru as the only member.
The group released their debut single, "サイレントマジョリティー (Silent Majority)" on April 6, 2016.

jsprite123 any translation would lessen the 'deepness' of any lyrics. Most lyrics that sound good in Japanese are hard to properly convey in a poetic/deep way in English, probably a similar situation vice-versa.

While Nogizaka46 may be the prettiest idol group IMO, Keyakizaka46 still holds the spot for my most favorite. They're always so fun to watch, they're never afraid to try new concepts(which is cool) aaand their recent songs are catchy as hell. I love how Keyakizaka46 normally don't try to act feminine or put up fake expressions/emotions on their faces. It goes to show the deepness and realness of the song. International fan here. I'm binging some Jpop groups such as Nogizaka46, Keyakizaka46, AKB48 and JKT48 and I just have to say that I've mad respect for them, man. I love the new genre of music as well as the old. I hope both these genres just stay true to themselves like they always have. Anyways, Sakurazaka46 (their new name), I've watched so many of our MVs in the past couple hours AND THEY ARE FIRE. Hope to see you become more famous one day because you deserve more fame, love, support and recognition. I think I know why the idols in this MV are dressed up this way. They don't mean to objectify or glorify the female characteristics but instead rely on talent and I respect them! Never change, you're unique just how you are. As an American fan of Keyakizaka46 I could see and feel the tension when members started leaving. Some of them leaving was understandable. Some of them not so much. I hope and yes, pray for all of them. I am a fan hard and true. I enjoy Keyakikitte Kakenai the most. This is where the girls become personable. If you have ever read my comments then you know who my favorites are. I will not name them here because I actually love them all! As I write this tears are rolling down my face because old people like me have a hard time with change. I hope that everyone that wants to return under the new name, can return. Even those who have left, if they chose to return I hope they can at least have a chance to do so. I seen many Hinatazaka46 members in this closing video also. The same goes out to these members too. I have grown to know them too. I love them also! I hope to see a variety show with the members of both groups and all the MC's Sawabe, Tsushida, Wakabayashi, and Kasuga! @l l New Keyakizaka has all the opportunities now to dynamically change genre by changing center all the time. Atmosphere of the group won't go away but style will definitely change for each center.

Take a look at Hiragana when Miipan centered or Katoshi. And Kosakana is still the atmosphere but different from Miipan and Katoshi. All three great in their own way. Happy aura with different layers.

Same can be said about Nogi, they have the same atmosphere but different style when they rotate centres.

I like Techi but the songs have felt more of the same since 4th single. From 1st to 3rd they were dynamic, but Techi changed around second half of Futari Sezon (early 2017) era. That was her style she developed and ownership couldn't let go of their perma-center policy so 1st album to 8th single repeated same style of 4th single. As long Techi was center we never got anything new out of Kanji.

I became a fan since 2017, and a silent fan eversince. I supported the girls since then and will continue send them support. As I want to stay silent and be silent I just can't contain my feelings anymore. My girls are leaving the Keyaki group. There will be no Miyu Suzumoto, Sato Shiori ,Oda Nana and Techii on stage and other performances 😭 Im so sadddddd, I can't help but be sad and cry.

malbrand hmmm... i believe the last time she was brimming with happiness was during some live performances in keyaki republic 2017. after that she was also smiling a lot in the akb48 show performance of kaze ni fukaretemo. although, it was a pre-recorded performance not live.

"that song" from keyaki republic is quite special, is the only performance where members are allowed to be more bona fide to what they are: happy, cute and (slightly) sensual, where they can express their personalities, where the joy of dancing is more important than those strict military formations, isnt that the ultimate contradiction in kanji keyaki ? the performance that gives, not only to hirate, but pretty much everyone, the most astonishing delight is exactly the one that is against what kanji represents ? I bet that was a reward for all their immeasurable hard-working, a gift for their accomplishments.

I hope Techi recovers from her injuries and return from her hiatus soon.
No wonder she looked really tired at FNS.
I can't believe she went up to perform with all those accumulating injuries. It must have been really painful just to move around, not to mention dancing.

I'm not a Keyaki fan, but I've listened and watch some of her videos and have a good impression of Techi. Now that I heard that she's on hiatus because of her injuries, I just felt like wishing her a swift recovery. That's pretty much it.

I wish she was in a group that would respect her and let her show herself in a more naturally way, and do not push her into a fictional fantasy character created for commercial purposes who had nothing to do with her, and not give to her difficult choreographies because she is a serious perfectionist to the point of pushing her body to the limit, in being so all that we would see from her is a girl always smiling and enjoying what she dreamed to do.
