Something evil
Lurking around
The moon is full
The streets are empty
Shadows cover the town
You can't call it
You can't shake the feeling
But the wind seems to speak
Something's here in the room with me
I know that something is wrong here
I can feel it but no one believes me
I know that something is strange here
I can sense it but no one believes me
I feel like something is wrong here
I can sense it but no one believes me
I'm not crazy hell no I'm not loony
I'm not insane
Take a second
I heard it
I know it
Whispers say my name
In the room calling for me
No ones there
Where do I go
Where should I run
Theres a vibe and it's haunting
No ones there
Where should I go
Where should I run
In Kid Cudi's song "No_One_Believes_Me," he conveys the feeling of being in a potentially dangerous situation, where evil lurks around him. Cudi describes going through the motions, with the full moon casting shadows over the empty streets. Despite sensing that something is wrong and feeling that someone or something is there, there is no one around to call out for help. The whispers and voices in the room only add to the terror, and Cudi feels completely alone, unsure of where to run or what direction to take. He highlights a feeling of isolation and skepticism in his lyrics.
The lyrics of "No_One_Believes_Me" have a very eerie and ominous quality, and they can be interpreted in different ways to reflect how an individual deals with doubt and skepticism. The anxiety and fear of being alone and unprotected can make someone feel victimized and powerless. This feeling can be amplified by the feeling that nobody understands or believes them. Moreover, the mention of whispers and voices can add to the feeling of confusion and disorientation that an individual in a similar situation might face.
The song's lyrics provide a different perspective on what one might feel during an emotionally and psychologically challenging time. Cudi presents a raw and honest interpretation of his own experiences that almost anyone can find relatable. The song goes on to explore themes of isolation, powerlessness, and skepticism, and how these feelings can manifest themselves within an individual's psyche. Kid Cudi manages to create a haunting and surreal mood that reflects the spirit of the song.
