Eleven Kidz Bop albums have been released to date. Each album features different pop music songs, played with music similar to the original, and with the "Kidz Bop Kids" singing instead of the original artist. Albums are typically released within a few months of each other and thus the songs included tend to be the hit songs of the current time, including such songs such as "Float On" (Modest Mouse), "This Love" (Maroon 5), and "Boulevard of Broken Dreams" (Green Day).
Although the albums are marketed as being "sanitized" versions of popular songs for children, many of the songs featured on the Kidz Bop albums still contain explicit sexual material, such as Rob Thomas's "Lonely No More," which some people consider inappropriate for younger audiences. Other featured songs, such as "Boulevard of Broken Dreams", contain profanity. Although the albums censor the actual word from the song, the context of the profanity remains. They also covered Green Day's hit "Wake Me Up When September Ends", which is about death.
The Kidz Bop video for their cover of Avril Lavigne's "Sk8r Boi", for instance, features the song being sung by a pre-teen girl in heavy make-up, fishnet stockings, and a Sex Pistols t-shirt.
Jealous

I'm starting to think you like him too
Am I crazy, have I lost ya?
Even though I know you love me, can't help it
I turn my chin music up
And I'm buffing my chest
I'm getting red in the face
It's not your fault that they hover
I mean no disrespect
It's my right to be jealous
I still get jealous
'Cause you're too pretty, beautiful
And everybody likes you too
That's why (that's why)
I still get jealous
' You're too pretty, beautiful
And everybody wants a taste
That's why (that's why)
I still get jealous
I wish you didn't have to post it all
I wish you'd save a little bit just for me
Protective or possessive, yeah
Call it jealous or aggressive
I turn my chin music up
And I'm puffing my chest
I'm getting red in the face
You can call me a mess
It's not your fault that they hover
I mean no disrespect
It's my right to be jealous
I still get jealous
'Cause you're too pretty, beautiful
And everybody wants a taste
That's why (that's why)
I still get jealous
'Cause you're too pretty, beautiful
And everybody likes it too
That's why (that's why)
I still get jealous
You're the only one invited
And there's no one else for you
'Cause you know I get excited, yeah
When you get jealous too
I turn my chin music up
And I'm puffing my chest
I'm getting red in the face
You can call me a mess
It's not your fault that they hover
I mean no disrespect
It's my right to be jealous
I still get jealous
'Cause you're too pretty, beautiful
And everybody likes it too
That's why (that's why)
I still get jealous
'Cause you're too pretty, beautiful
And everybody likes you too
That's why (that's why)
I still get jealous
Oh (that's why)
I still get jealous
Oh (that's why)
I still get jealous
The song 'Jealous' by Kidz Bop is a reflection of the feeling of insecurity and possessiveness that someone can feel in a relationship. The lyrics express the sentiment of the singer feeling threatened by the attention that someone else is giving to their partner, and their insecurity at the possibility of losing them. Even though the singer acknowledges that their partner loves them, they can't help but feel jealous.
The verses showcase the frustration and discomfort the singer feels as they see their partner being appreciated by other people. They try to assert their dominance and show their strength by puffing up their chest and turning up their music. However, they also acknowledge that their feelings of jealousy are unreasonable, as their partner has done nothing wrong. In the end, the singer hopes that their partner can understand their possessiveness and be jealous of them as well, showing that they both care for each other.
Overall, the song is a relatable depiction of the intense emotions that can arise in romantic relationships, and the importance of communication and understanding between partners.
