The lyrics of Kikagaku Moyo's song Dripping Sun are in Japanese, and it is difficult to translate the meaning of each word individually to explain the song's meaning. However, the song's repetitive and ethereal soundscape creates a dreamy atmosphere that seems to transport the listener to another dimension. The lyrics themselves seem to exist to create an incantatory mood, with each line flowing seamlessly into the next, and the repetition of certain phrases adding to the hypnotic effect.
The song's title, Dripping Sun, evokes an image of a celestial body slowly leaking light, which is supported by the song's lyrics, which seem to create a cosmic setting. The sound of the instruments, which includes guitars, drums, and the sitar, creates a psychedelic atmosphere that adds to the song's otherworldly quality.
Overall, the meaning of the song is open to interpretation and might mean different things for different listeners. However, the song's mood and soundscape create a surreal and enchanting experience for those who listen to it.

@@PandPfreestyle You should be glad I had too much time to do because I've gone above and beyond to be your guide. This post will serve as a guide to some artists I enjoy across a range of sub-genres within the scene. I don't cover them all, but again this is more about giving you a start. But wait... that's not all, I made a Playlist to go with this post! Go to my profile, it's called JPsychPrimer. It contains songs from each of the bands mentioned and has tons for you to chew on! This post will help you know which bands fit into which areas. Asterisks mean they aren't just recommendations, they are personal favorites!
The playlist starts with some Japanese Psych-Rock/Psychedelic Hard-Rock. Kikagaku Moyo nominally fit into this category and this is the style that started it all, really. If you like this stuff look up the record label Guruguru Brain. They put out Kikagaku Moyo and Sundays & Cybele and in general are one of your best sources for J-Psych in the West. I capped this section off with my favorite album from the classic era.
CLASSIC PSYCH-ROCK/HARD ROCK

A'ight. Now is the time to drop some tabs, puff some smoke, or if you don't like drugs - just clear some time, grab some headphones or turn on your best speakers, and get ready to dive into the Deep End. From here on out, songs are gunna get longer or I'm just gonna flat out post whole albums. This is where the list is gunna get more challenging - but VERY rewarding if you are patient. It's time for some Psychedelic Noise - one of the most acclaimed and unique categories in Japanese Psychedelia!

There's more, and I will add more to the playlist but I've gotta go make dinner lol.
When I do add more, we'll explore some Psychedelic Prog/Experimental and Psychedelic Folk!

I asked my Japanese friend what the songs lyrics meant turns out they aren't in any language. They're in complete gibberish. The band members say that they sing whatever noises and sounds the feeling of the song evokes, which allows people to put their own meaning to the song. Such a rad concept, these guys are amazing 🤟🏼
@reginahernandez516
except for Nazo Nazo, the only one with lyrics
@thomasbrown7328
Cool!! They’re scatting!
@kokubo399
Holy fuck
@tylerkrueger3695
Ever listen to cocteau twins? Beautiful vocalist, same idea. The voice more as a pure instrument
@Comrade.Question
Kind of like Sigur Ros
@chaoszone867
I swear these guys are Japan's answer to King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard. They are phenomenal.
@Laineydn
KM are far more talented. I say this as a fervent gizz fan and collector, and having seen both. They're in different leagues.
@nikolabarac8333
Much better than King Gizzard.
@mackapearson
For the record, these guys aren’t better (nor are they worse) than king gizz, they’re different. Gizz could do stuff like this if they wanted to, and km could do gizzish stuff if they wanted to
